Here's a subforum idea I got reading the first post in Tex' Marijuana thread: a Wordforge digital time capsule: a forum where Wordforgers can post ideas about what the world will be like in e.g. 100 years - or some other future time when we're all dead. We have until [insert date] to add topics - let's be generous and say a year from now. After that, no new topics can be added, but all topics can still be discussed, so we can track developments over time. And so will future Wordforgers. The idea is to be realistic, give real predictions of what we expect, hope or fear the future holds for us, our children, their children, and so on. Of course, a different name for the forum could be an idea, to prevent Apple-inspire hate, or Apple taking over Wordforge in 50 years for Brand-infringement. What say you?
You know what else might be interesting? Something which auto bumped really old threads. It is kind of interesting to read such things, especially when time has revealed things to be quite different than what people thought. For example, when the PT films first came out, anyone who said tney sucked was generally flamed for it, but now, most folks are willing to agree.
