Not really getting this bit. There was one year, in the early days, when other half and I couldn't afford to celebrate on the day itself. A few days later, when one of us got paid, we bought a bottle of cheap wine and toasted the occasion.
To this day, if we're drinking cheap wine, we toast 'happy anniversary' with the first glass.
But we always do something on the day itself, even if it's just make sure daughter is out of the way for the day. ;) The day is special.

Okay, its just me and flow then, We don't care about the day so much as the marriage. Different ways of looking at it.

Sorry  I meant that to mean right after the post I quoted is where that was said.

Oh and by the way did you read post #12 where he said she had the outing planned for two weeks before. Do they not communicate at all or did he forget. I choose to believe that they can communicate to each other and over the course of the two weeks he forgot about her outing. But that is just me.

Yes, I forgot. When she mentioned it I did not realize that it was on our anniversary date. Therefore I was in the wrong. Still, I don't think I desrved what I got and I don't have a stick up my ass.

The stick up the ass was to Demiurge, not you. That's why I quoted him.

I agree you shouldn't have gotten an ass chewing, but if you said to her some of the things that the men in this thread wanted you to say, you would never get lovins again. Which is what my original post was saying.
