So hell is the new home for hefner and petty along with bowie and Prince and robin Williams and George Carlin. Why am i hanging around this dump again? I could be seeing Pryor in the red room and I am screwing around in the heat of south floriduh? Hell has to be cooler than summer in Miami. I would make a call to ticketmaster for some petty tickets but they are always sold out of shows in hell. Maybe Lucy has some tickets. Anyone want to loan me their soul for an eternity or two?

He was the first-ever concert at the amphitheater where I used to work part-time, but due to overplanning* by the contractor I worked for I shot the next concert the following night instead.

I would've much rather worked the Tom Petty show than Styx/Bad Company. :garamet:

*Initially he wanted two separate video crews, working alternate shows, which turned out to be too convoluted and in less than two weeks he eventually let everyone else go but me and a couple of other shooters. I'm the only person who worked for him the entire 7 years that he had the contract, so I got paid to see a lot of great concerts from the edge of the stage.

On a related note, I see that Netflix now has Peter Bogdanovich's documentary about Petty available. It's really good, but very long (nearly four hours).
