Just heard on the news that the greater Toronto area has flooded and 300,000 may be without power. If you guys don't see Spaceturkey online, he may be without power. This is bad news for his grow-op. :(

It was awesome to watch roll in..there was a trail of descending cloud right down to top of buildings and then all hell broke loose. I just grabbed my take out and came home. i just found out about all the chaos... seems the Market has been lucky for power. I'm at College Street latitudes. Not so fortunate a few blocks below me though... Plenty of sirens. King street and the train tracks are under about 4 feet.

There have been an awful lot of floods in the past year. More than normal it seems.

Glad I got the fuck out of the city at 3:00 pm today.

I live in the west end of the GTA and we barely got any rain. Bizarre.

We had a subway line flood back in the 90s. It completely trashed the signalling system. Pumping out the water was just the start of a six month repair.

that's about 20 miles north of here, on much higher ground.
Still, the storm goes all the way up to Barrie (about 65 miles)
Hearing about flooding in North York though, so they could be getting some in Newmarket.

Ground level flooding in St Lawrence Market, which is south of there.
It should be okay, as that's at the top of the Don Valley and fairly up town Basement flooding at worst.

Glad you are OK We Are Borg. I wasn't worried about you because anyone who can afford Asian massage parlors on a weekly basis is probably well off enough to live on higher ground.

Spaceturkey, on the other hand, looks shit-poor! :soma:

Strangely, most of the best Asian massage parlors are in my neighbourhood or just west of it.

Sadly, many of them are in basements.

The idiot who drove his Ferrari into the flood and then had to abandon it gave me some nice schadenfreude.

This has been an amazing month for me, what a treat watching both Toronto and Calgary drown in their own filth. :techman:
