Demi, thanks for the defense (and it is nice ) but what Tamar said is true. She knows I'd laugh my ass off at it. In fact, I just had a pic taken of me by a co-mod. I was holding the bag of dog treats. However, the picture of me is so ghastly none of you will ever see it.

P.S. I don't agree about making fun of Neroon, but I acquit her of malice when it comes to my picture. And Tamar, thanks for using the glam shot. There are much worse pictures of me around.

Yeah, Neroon is cool beans. He sent me a very nice email when I left Big Blue. But everyone else at TBBS is fair game.

I've met Neroon. He's really a helluva nice guy. It's a shame people make fun of him for costuming.

As for costuming, I've made myself a fancy Renaissance gown. A pretty green one. People who make costumes and wear them do it because it's great fun. I'm almost 50 and for Halloween or a Renn Faire, I'll don a costume.

Don't none of ya ever role-play, do plays or dress up for stuff? It's great fun!

And yes, I have Spock ears. Wore them one Halloween.

I thought you were too nice

Doesn't surprise me at all. I know it's not popular here not to hate TrekBBS and all its staff, you and Neroon most of all, but I always got along real well with him, and appreciated him very much. Can't say I "knew" him, though, since our contacts were entirely online.

The "hate" from both here and TK has really tamed down from what it used to be. At least here, it's more "We're better than you and if we say that we like TrekBBS at all, that takes away from here."

I never got that logic. From day one, I hung at several boards, I call none of them "my board" or "my home" or consider them as such. But so many online seem to do so at any of the various boards. They feel disloyal or something if they don't stick up for/adhere to their "home board", even if it means dissing other boards that they may in truth like. The 'net very much has its own cliques. Being rather anti-clique, I of course must buck that trend.

None of these boards are perfect. All offer something (or we wouldn't be here) and in my opinion, it's better to have several than just one. The mixes at each are different and the tone and that makes for interesting reading/interacting. I get things here and at TK and the other BBSes that I don't necessarily get at TrekBBS (not referring to insults or such) and same for TrekBBS.

With good reason.

It didn't bubble up out of nowhere. They don't like the treatment they get? Then they should stop acting like prize asses.
