Fox commentator Dan Bongino (ex secret service) talks about also being harassed, and his wife insulted and threatened. https://www.foxnews.com/media/dan-bongino-harassed-white-house-paid-lunatics What does insulting a guy's wife get you? Certainly doesn't encourage your target to sympathize with your cause.
Hey, now, he was ever so nice about Ghislaine Maxwell... we can only speculate why. He only insulted Hillary, Nancy, Kamala, and his two ex-wives.
That's like the argument Erin and Danny have in every single...EVERY...SINGLE...episode of Blue Bloods. But I can't hate Blue Bloods.
So to recap: 1) Shooting high-speed projectiles into a crowd is cool; why are you snowflake liberals being such babies about it? 2) Yelling at Rand Paul is an assassination attempt.
If you look at the characters in the mobs , they mostly consist of weak little white kids who remind you of the silent, nerdy types from high school. They know they arent very tough alone so they travel in packs trying to intimidate people. Typical cowards.
The headline would be more accurate to say that the ex was offered a deal in which he would say that Taylor was part of the crime ring, rather than "to." The way it is phrased, it makes it sound as though the purpose of the deal was to name Taylor as a co-conspirator. It admittedly could be seen as the prosecutors trying to drag Taylor's name through the mud post-mortem with no need to do so. They could and probably should have offered a plea deal without reference to Taylor. But then, the Louisville Courier-Journal reported that the ex-boyfriend was on recorded jail calls from before the shooting talking about how Taylor was handling money for him. https://www.courier-journal.com/sto...rcibly-search-breonna-taylor-home/5593502002/ https://www.courier-journal.com/sto...d-no-ties-drugs-ex-boyfriend-says/5641151002/ The NYT has also reported on these phone calls and other ties between the suspected drug dealer and Taylor: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/30/us/breonna-taylor-police-killing.html It's commonplace in plea agreements for prosecutors to have the defendants spell out in detail exactly what they did and how. So if Glover was using Taylor to handle his money or if she was in some other way conspiring with him, it would be common even without any political pressure to have the plea agreement say so. I want to say up front a couple of things. First, it's still possible that the cops got this wrong or are straight-up lying about things (although if the recordings exist, that is fairly strong evidence IMO that Taylor did participate in what Glover did). But and most importantly, even if Taylor had been the second coming of Scarface, that doesn't make her death any less of a tragedy. And her potential involvement in Glover's business doesn't make the police actions on that night any more justified or less.
Someone needs to get word to these organizers that cowardly attacks from behind doesn't work in Florida. We carry equalizers...
Assholes don't know other posters well enough to recognize irony when they see it. @tafkats clearly needed to post more smilies.
Floriduh Man and his wife: Florida Couple Arrested After Shooting at Black Family Who Were Simply Trying to Return a U-Haul
Did you see photos of officers supposedly injured last weekend in NW cities? The facts don’t check out I know exactly which idiots will buy into this.
^ As I wrote when I shared that on Facebook earlier, I've been seeing those images thoughtlessly shared for weeks. Once again, people see something fake that fits their preconceived ideas and then share it without checking the authenticity. I've called people out on it and they're totally perplexed that there's something wrong with doing that, like they have no responsibility.
There’s not enough time in the day to refute all the false and misleading political posts on social media. While it feels good to call out someone who is blatantly lying and sharing false information, the common response is for that person to either double down on the stupidity and post even more misleading information or claim they were “just putting it out there.” As if they are some benevolent soul who scours the Internet to find all the political “news” we might have missed.
Do you do that? When someone corrects me because I posted something that was false, I either remove it, or acknowledge my ignorance and leave it there for everyone to see that I was wrong.
At least they respond to you. I'm dealing with two FB posters who recently started popping up on my page out of nowhere (like I need this first thing in the morning). They love visuals like that one, presented with "Isn't that awful? BLM is teh Evul!" or "God" memes like this one: captioned "Can I get an AMEN?" One of them will respond, a little. Then she'll tell me she's tired, she's got a busy day tomorrow and she's going to bed, then continue posting in other threads and never revisit the one she started. The other one is one of the "girls" I went to high school with (yes, Class of '67, babies, make your snide remarks and get it out of your system). She's the one that posted the "put God back where he belongs" meme. She will not respond. I've tried pointing out that those natural disasters are not God's fault, but humans'. Silence. I tried reminding her of the plagues of Egypt. Silence. I've even asked where she'd like to "put God back where he belongs" - Christmas wreaths on Starbucks cups, maybe? Silence. One of her friends is shrieking about how Democrats are the Devil. I'm wavering on whether or not to tell her I'm not a Democrat. I expect the same response I get here "Oh, yes, you are! You can't fool us!" You can't fix Stupid.
That's the difference between an honest person and a MAGAzombie. The latter will just scream "FAKE NEWS!!!" and either run away or call you nasty names.
One of the best new features of Facebook (maybe the only one) is that you can report a post as being "false news". I don't take the time to correct most of the people I know who share the fake stuff, but I do report the hell out of their posts. Some of them get PISSED when their posts are flagged by Facebook as being false or misleading.
I was reporting the shit out of any trump ads as false news. Which, they were. Now, I no longer see *any* trump ads.
To quote a news director friend of mine, “I'm sure as hell worked up about people...disseminating ‘fake news’ while whining about fake news. Tellin', ya, friends...I'm just not gonna have that anymore.”
