Just ran across this image even though it's from just after the election, and I thought it wa worth sharing...
Gosh, I'm really confused and super surprised about this. The left assured us that the Supreme Court was going to decide the election in Trump's favor. What happened?
Pretty sure literally no one on this board and no prominent pundit on the left "assured" anyone "that the Supreme Court was going to decide the election in Trump's favor." Link to a post or a piece from a mainstream or left-leaning part of the media saying that the Supreme Court would do this. It should be super easy to find if it's as prevalent as you claim. Either that or admit that you're talking straw man garbage.
Fucking-A Skippy... This has been explained to you multiple times. No one was worried that regardless of the results of the election the Supreme Court would just hand the presidency back to Trump. The worry was that if it was close (2000esque) then a stacked court could then hand it to Trump. How many times does this need to be explained to you? Have you considered making flash cards?
I think lots of us said we felt it was Trump's wish that the supreme court he packed would make decisions in his favor, and Trump himself has proclaimed dissatisfaction with his appointees.
So you're going to pretend that people weren't saying that SCOTUS would hand Trump the election? Okay. Must be nice to just ignore reality.
It was generally accepted that he was packing the scotus to benefit himself. As Anc pointed out, it would have been close competitions that required a decision. I'm glad that wasn't tested, I'm not confident about what the outcome would have been.
Nope. All I have to do is say, member when leftists said that SCOTUS would hand Trump the election? I member. That seems to fly pretty well around here, if you’re a lefty. It never gets challenged and never requires proof.
Cuz I have a record of citing my sources when asked. Plus, everyone who's been here long enough actually remembers what I remember because I'm not a fucking liar. Nice try though. Nice try to pull a clever move. You keep getting sooo close ><. Like, one more IQ point would get you there. Your fingertips brush right up against it, then it slips away. It must be sooo frustrating.

I remember Trump saying he wanted Barrett in place for election cases. I remember a lot of Trump supporters saying SCOTUS was going to hand Trump the election, with some even claiming the early lawsuits were losing on purpose so they could get there faster (!). I don't remember anybody on the left saying that, particularly after Nov. 7.
Headlines like this wouldn't exist if it weren't all over the internet. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2020/12/scotus-texas-trump/617376/ https://prospect.org/justice/will-the-supreme-court-overturn-the-election-result/ https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...ettle-us-election-result-in-the-supreme-court https://www.usnews.com/news/electio...ed-on-the-courts-to-deliver-him-a-win-he-lost
Perhaps one day you'll achieve that same level of credibility if you actually start providing proof when asked.
And now we see why @Paladin thinks Trump making up election fraud and selling Republicans on it is a good thing.
In any of those cases did someone challenge Dicky on whether the underlying event he was claiming actually happened, and if so, did he fail to provide links backing up what he was talking about?
