In all seriousness, what can be debated? There are people here who think it's okay for kids to be separated from their parents and imprisoned in horrid conditions, becoming sick, some dying, because they crossed an imaginary line, one that has the equivalent misdemeanor punishment of a $50 fine. They joke about it like it's just a good get at the left and liberals.

There are arguments where if you're anti-fascist, you're actually pro-fascist. We're in a thread right now where there are those who are so disconnected from reality, they see Trump's latest edict about whatever and whomever fitting the bill of "antifascist" being arrested and detained by the police, because when has that ever gone wrong? They cheer for it, they hope for it.

So it's either laugh and take such people lightly, or cry knowing they hold positions of influence with others, and believe in the rightness of these terrible things taking place. Right now, I'm choosing to laugh.

You act as if it’s either support Antifa or you’re a Nazi like Dicky tried to do. Why can’t we be against both? Like I said, I wouldn’t call them terrorists, now, but I wouldn’t be surprised if one of these self identified Antifa’s did conduct some sort of an attack. They do seem to be pretty violent. The fact that they haven’t killed anyone, yet is a pretty low bar.

I live on an international interface where peace is extremely fragile, which is at risk of being devastated by exactly the same kind of destructive nationalism that is driving the events we're discussing. It was a low-level warzone a generation ago, and within living memory systematically discriminated against half of its population including by labelling people as terrorists and locking them up without trial. I tend not to trust the corporate media at all. Their business model is in fact defined by their subservience to power so if they're reporting this stuff, they're not inventing it. Perhaps you would like to challenge the factual basis of some of what is being claimed in your next post.

Antifa (as defined by the groups attacking people) could indeed be called terrorists, the only question there is the use of the word "organisation". I wouldn't dream of defending them, left wing or not.

However, the simple fact is that the numbers are very clear, the threat they represent remains less than their counterparts on the right.

I think the point being glossed over is that whilst most of us would agree with your post it sits very much at odds with your recent stance on other, but related, issues.
