Trump is still illegally in possession of classified documents, it appears, as a number of them are still missing. Seems to me that if I can find those documents and turn them over, I’ll have an easier time proving my case that it was an accident that I ended up with so many documents.

The Presidential Records Act specifically was created after Nixon claimed that all his records were personal documents when he was under threat of impeachment before he resigned.

It specifically says that presidential records belong to the nation, not the President.
