I don't know. I'm not his personal biographer.

I don't see what that has to do with the conduct of your orange hero.

You can say that about food stamps, welfare, and socialized healthcare.

You are lying. Wikipedia is your friend. If you knew the other information about Lebron James you also knew this

James did not start playing organized basketball until he was in the fifth grade.[9] He later played Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball for the Northeast Ohio Shooting Stars.[8] The team enjoyed success on a local and national level, led by James and his friends Sian Cotton, Dru Joyce III, and Willie McGee.[7]:24 The players were inseparable and dubbed themselves the "Fab Four", promising each other that they would attend high school together.[7]:27 In a move that stirred local controversy, they chose to attend St. Vincent–St. Mary High School, a predominantly white private Catholic school

Lebron has still achieved more in a few years than you could ever achieve in several lifetimes. Are you saying it's because you didn't go to predominantly white schools? As if.

Why do you constantly make baseless personal attacks like this? I thought you didn't like that sort of behaviour?

My knowledge of James didn't come from Wikipedia. You assumed it did - wrongly.

And, again, what does his school have to do with the behaviour of your hero President?

It's all bollocks anyway. He highlights the word "Christian" for instance but he neglects to point out that he, as a Church of Christ cultist, deems Catholics to be fake Christians.

Yeah, Catholics are not real Christians. But they still do lots of good work and are useful allies in things like opposing abortion rights and homosexual rights.

It isn't a personal attack when I say you are "lying" when you make the claim that I regard President Trump as a "hero".

I referred to the school because it rebuts your basic claim that Lebron James "did it all on his own".

No one succeeds in life on their own. Not you, me, Trump, James, anyone.

Like I've pointed out. I didn't even know who Pence was until he was chosen as Trump's running mate. Scott Walker was/is my preference to be president.

Everyone goes to school by law you bloody fool. Not everyone succeeds because of it. How can an "excellent school teacher" not know that? No wonder you constantly get fired.

It amuses me that you are attributing James's success to white Christians. In other words you're claiming he has people like you to thank for his success, right? ;)

Shame they weren't "real" Christians, eh? :rotfl:

Oh, and you didn't say I was lying about your Trump worship. You said I was lying about my background knowledge of James. Post #213.

But any candidate who transforms this country into a theocracy, regardless of what the Founders wanted (and, of course, it should be a Church of Christ-based theocracy) is your most desired wish. Any travesty acted in that name, no matter that it destroys the economy, international relations, and the everyday lives of people, is fine with you, as long as the end result is What Dayton Wants.

A "Christian theocracy" is a contradiction in terms.

But I do want to live in the country I grew up in.

I remember when he was advocating for much greater merging of religion into laws and the legislative and executive branches of state. When I asked him if he wanted to live in a country like Saudi Arabia he couldn't grasp that that was essentially what he wanted to push the US towards.

    Cuz they're "the good religion"?

There have been multiple examples of Christian theocracies throughout history. Surprised a self proclaimed "excellent history teacher" doesn't know that. :diacanu:

I don't recall advocating something of that nature. Or are you talking about VP Pence?

At any rate just because I posted advocating something in the last 18 years doesn't mean I consider it a good idea today. Remember that one of the threads I started early on at the TrekBBS (and turned lots of people against me) was "America Should Expand" where I advocated military conquest by the United States over a vast amount of territory.

I eventually decided that was probably not wise.

Even the best history scholars are not experts in every facet of it. Surely you will acknowledge that.

The Papacy for a start, up to an including the Vatican. Hell, in the Middle Ages almost all of Europe was controlled by monarchies loyal to the church and laws were based on scripture. How can you possibly not know this?

This was a conversation I had with you within the past few years. Nothing to do with pence. It was either a discussion about laws relating to homosexuality or abortion. I was indirectly pushing you to admit you wanted laws based more on your scripture, and you confirmed that you wanted more laws based on Christian scripture. When I pointed out that was a step towards theocracy you seemed confused.

Basic historical knowledge is not expert knowledge. If I was taught about the role of the church in historical Europe at school then you, as a self proclaimed "excellent history teacher", should be expected to have a working knowledge of historical Europe.

There is no evidence of that whatsoever beyond your own claim.

However, the routine lack of historical knowledge you display here and your dismissal career record as a teacher does point to the contrary.

Of course, feel free to post up testimonials from colleagues, parents and students attesting to how great you are.
