I want people to read the Bible.

But I do not appreciate it when a person who does not believe in God (and thus doesn't believe in the Bible) tries to use the Bible as a way of attacking Christians.

At best that is intellectually dishonest.

And how would reading the Bible lead atheists to salvation?

It takes more than the word of God to do that. It has never been sufficient.

    Intent is everything.

Tough titty. If someone can use the writings of Darwin to attack a current scientific theory, then either the theory, or Darwin are wrong. People who embrace reason welcome such criticisms because it enables us to get closer to reality. It doesn't matter who the attacks come from, or what their reasons are. What we want are the facts. Because they enable us to do all kinds of different things. If the Wright brothers hadn't been willing to discard conventional thinking on flight, they never would have been able to build their airplane.

Au contraire, mon frere, that is the height of intellectual honesty. If one can prove that a thing is wrong, by using that which claims to support it, then you've done "a man's job." To quote Edward James Olmos' character from Blade Runner.

Holy shit, man! Did you just ask "How is it possible that the divine word of god could lead someone to believing in god?" Because that's what it looks like to me. If that's the case, then why hand out Bibles? People either believe or they don't, and ain't nothing going to change that.

    :kirkpalm:

That's rich, coming from you. Or need I remind you of what you said?
Thoughts and intent, aren't terribly different. Actions and thought, of course, are, but you don't seem to care about either one. Because if you did, you wouldn't be here now.

 Everybody here has tried, lo these many years that you've been posting here, and if you haven't figured it out by now, ain't a goddamned thing anything else that we might say here will convince you of the fact that you're a giant, flaming douchebag. All we're doing at this point, is hitting the piƱata that is you, because we have nothing better to do at the moment.

No need in trying to convince me of something that is manifestly untrue.

I mean come on. The best you guys can come up with is TWO bad things I've done in 15 years or so (neither one in the least decade or so) and you only know about those two because I've mentioned.

Why this seemingly inherent need at Wordforge to believe that I'm some kind of evil person?

So, you didn't hit your wife, and you didn't do a hit and run on a little old lady?

Oh, no.. We have a whole thread dedicated to bad things you've said and done. As for you beating your wife and performing a hit and run on a little old lady, you, yourself, have admitted that the only way we know about them is because you've admitted to them. Here's a hint: If you've done something which you think that other people might think is reprehensible, don't fucking tell people about it. Suppose, for example, a poster here was arrested for horse raping. Said poster never mentioned that they raped a horse, would you be inclined to think that they were the kind of person who raped horses? No, you wouldn't be, because what kind of fuckstick rapes horses? That thought would never cross your mind, unless the person told you that they raped horses. In which case, every time they posted, you'd be inclined to think, "This person rapes horses."

I don't know, maybe it's because you post the kind of shit that someone who's evil would post? Of course, because you're so fucked up, you don't realize that people might think that someone who hits their wife, does a hit and run, or tells people of a different ethnic background that they have to just "accept" taking orders from white people, is actually kind of evil.
