So... these were seized because they were thought to be illegal. Now that they've been found to be illegal, shouldn't they just give them back? The thought of them going to troops in Iraq is great. The thought of them being stolen from someone, by the government, isn't.
Gotta be something else to this story. From the way I read the second sentence the drug dealer was arrested in January but only now convicted meaning all the cigars become police property. Yeah....before posting this I checked around..... The dealer was busted in January during a traffic stop. The cigars had fake Cuban wrappers on them. So right there: Counterfeit not to mention trying to sell a "product" which is illegal in the US. The goods were confiscated by the Sheriff and now are property of the department. So it's not a problem. Drug dealer gets jail. Troops get cigars. Win. Win.
