Most of that it bullshit or has a shitload of spin. Not going to pick it to bit's as it's 3am and i'm about to go to bed.
There's a few bits that may have a small seed of a point, but the rest is hysterical nonsense. We live in a world now where people have been brought up on this sense of entitlement to certain rights and liberties, yet, despite this when the shit hits the fan, on whatever broad spectrum it may be, people start complaining, be it immigration issues, terrorism, crime, homsexuality, foreign affairs or whatever else. What do people most often say when thay are complaining about something? "The governmemnt" should do this, "the government" should do that. So basically, when it suits them the government needs to be setting down rules. When it doesn't they should be staying out of their lives. Nobody seems to realise that the reality is that a balance must be reached to best suit today's society. If it isn't, the country will go down the shitter even faster than they are suggesting.
Most of the points the article makes are very worrying, but they don't add up to impending dictatorship.
I'm sorry, Dale, but that article is from a newspaper I disapprove of so I can't take it seriously. :retardbrit:
Watching the evolution of the government of the UK, and to a lesser extent that of the US, I'm unsure exactly what to call this nascent political system. Democratic totalitarianism? Representative authoritarianism? Perhaps nothing worth bothering oneself about. Topics for wiser minds to consider, undoubtedly.
The "State media" Rips the shit out of the Gov more then the opposition because the Gov fucks up more.
All I know is I wish you Brits would do something about it because you wankers are giving the guys in DC ideas. Fuckers.
