An entire country descended from whores and criminals... YA GOD DAMN RIGHT MISSING A PORT CALL IS A BIG FUCKING DEAL! I'm pissed off for all those poor sons and daughters of bitches.
At least we had some in the first fucking place. What've you got? Whining about Democrats not "reaching across the aisle" in the Gorsuch thread like anyone with half a neuron hasn't noticed the last eight years of Republicans lopping their own fucking hands off rather than do so.
It's much easier to view everything as occurring in a vacuum, independent of catalyst or consequence, save that the outcome should be unfavorable for the opposing party. Pundits do it all of the time, so their listeners can feel the satisfaction of being right without having to deal with heavy issues like critical thinking, and context.
I originally thought this was all just posturing but now I have to wonder if I am wrong. North Korea has ordered it's capital evacuated, it's military is on high alert, China has moved 150,000 troops including its elite forces with the best equipment to the North Korean border (remember China and the US had a meeting recently between heads of state). Now, they are saying NK is readying another nuclear test for their founding dictator's 105th birthday. An interesting situation. Hopefully both Japan and SK are on standby.
Stop peddling fake news, numbnuts. After a one minute check it's clear your 'facts' come from a bunch of truther sites and were picked up by the likes of the Daily Mail. The only truth in your post is a probable nuclear test soon.
I've noticed lately that certain people here like to make claims without providing links. As if we're all supposed to automatically know what they are talking about.
And here's the original source of your bullshit: http://www.pravdareport.com (also pravda.ru) Russian propaganda/conspiracy site. Case closed.
You are very arrogant and condescending for someone who is SO frequently wrong about so many things. China's troop build up on the NK border. http://www.upi.com/Top_News/World-N...-to-move-to-North-Korea-border/5871492003177/ NK ordering evacuations of it's capital because it claims war is imminent (something they have been declaring for years btw so maybe just more posturing). https://www.express.co.uk/news/worl...minent-war-pyongyang-immediate-evacuation/amp
I just disagree with your claim to simply because someone you don't like reported it that automatically makes it untrue. My guess is nothing happens other than a nuclear test like all the rest. Little Kim seems to have realized even his own people no longer take his daily pronouncements that war is near seriously thus he has to keep upping the ante to keep his propaganda at a fever pitch. Thus the partial evacuation as a symbol that this time is different and this time I really mean it. Etc...
I for one feel we should encourage NK to test nuclear weapons - hear me out: many of their rockets tip over on the launch pad and spin around like Curly from The 3 Stooges. So the more they fuck around with nuclear weapons the better the chance they really fuck up and wipe themselves out!
Shit just might get real. More at the link. Right now, the government is saying we won't do anything without South Korea's consent....
Well, I for one sure am glad we didn't elect Hilary the war hawk into office. She was just jonesing to go to war!
http://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/japan-weighs-plans-s-korea-evacuation-report-n746486 Japan is considering how to evacuate its citizens in the event of war in Korea. Perhaps @Aurora will be along shortly to snidely tell us that is fake news as well? I still think war will not happen but a lot of folks seem to be worried and unusual stuff is going on. The Chinese foreign minister has spoken out saying there is a very real risk of war and that all sides should refrain from provocations.
The big problem is that NK artillery is already in place to bombard Seoul. Little Kim has short man syndrome and his regime's propaganda is based upon an image of military strength. That means they will have to respond to any attack. Trump is playing with fire, right now. I doubt he really knows or has thought through how events would unfold if he gets an itchy trigger finger.
In an article in The Atlantic a few years ago, a U.S. general said he thought in case of war that the U.S. and South Korea could keep the number of civilians killed in the Seoul metropolitan area to no more than 100,000. That sure seems like a lot though.
Assuming: 1) A relatively short war. 2) No use of nuclear or chemical weapons by the North and possible U.S. retaliation. 3) No serious intervention by China aside from probably greatly increasing their border troops or perhaps occupying a strip of North Korean along their border. 4) Relatively rapid collapse of the North Korean government and occupation mainly by South Korean troops. 5) Massive international relief effort, several hundred billion probably. From 500,000 to 1,000,000 in total.
I don't think there would be a relatively rapid collapse in the north. They have had almost 70 years to completely brainwash their population and turn them into fanatics. Even if they do start collapsing little Kim would have nothing to lose so why not try to us NBCs?
Well, it looks like we've got a war canary. If Pence scrubs part of his trip, then we're going to start bombing.
Most wars are based on assumptions. If there were widely known facts accepted by both sides then there would be no war. One side would look at the balance sheet and give up.
You've just made an argument for the ending of government secrets, you realize that, don't you? Oh, and you're completely wrong, as Robert McNamara has admitted that he knew that war in Vietnam was unwinnable, but didn't try to stop LBJ from doing it.
McNamara only said that years later when he was trying to absolve himself of responsibility for the war. So naturally you believe him. And I've never been a fan of government secrecy.
