There's a new mini in the works too. I honestly don't see where it would need modernizing tho - apart from the whole hybrid deal with that annoying girl, it's completely up to snuff. Or so says my DVD set
I'm a huge V fanboy....now the bad news. The new "original" mini is supposed to ignore some things many people loved...because Ken Johnnson is a whiny bitch. He wants to ignore The Final Battle...which some may like until you realize that means no Ham Tyler. I tried reading V: The Second Generation and I made it less then two chapters in before putting it down in disgust. People were conned into believing the visitors were taking earths water to their planet to purify and bring back for us...hybrids were ostracized but relatively common...Visotrs friends was amplified until it was a parody of itself...oh and apparently more alien races. The propoganda the visotors were doing was so ham handed...like making kids watch a video every week about how good the visitors were...and the list goes on. It was just.....BAD. Which sucks...I waited 20 years for it.
News like this make me believe that lizard aliens from another planet must have visited Hollywood like, 10 years ago, and completely sucked away all creativity, so that no one can come up with an original idea again - ever! I liked V when I was a kid, but fuck, enough with the remakes already.
Scorpy....you need to read all the background on this V remake and new sequel... It's a sordid tale and basically most people come to the conclusion... Kenneth Johnson = Whiny bitch
