    OK.

You have the master and the pupil, or the teacher and the student. There's some other word for someone you've taken under your wing and are grooming and developing. (No, it is not "disciple", or "grasshopper". And if you say "padawan" I will thwack you upside the head.) "This is my..." It's not "prodigy", is it?

    PROTEGE! "This is my PROTEGE"!

(I'm writing something on mentoring and I absolutely hate the word "mentee". :garamet: )

That may just be. I think the proper term for a person receiving mentoring is a "mento".

I was going to reply just to the title, and say "that's called your penis, Volpone. it's your little lemonaide fireman".

But then I thought maybe the actual topic would disrupt the joke, but then it occured to me I should start calling my pecker "my protegee", and I laughed myself into a choking fit.

Perhaps you should try being his protegee... see how things go for a while, maybe you'll get laid.

 That could be the most brilliant pick-up line ever! "Would you like to meet my mentor?" "If you'd like, he could probably mentor you as well..."

sorry to be the french grammar police, and all, but if you're going to refer to your pecker as your protegée, people might wonder why you're assigning it the feminine gender.
