    Plus, now you've got a project to save for.

    And when you get the 29" wheels, you can save the 26-ers so that if you fuck up your main wheels, you can throw the backups on.

    Not quite. 29-ers have different dimensions than 26" wheel bikes. I don't think that would really work. if he has disc breaks, it might possibly work, but I'm not really sure.

    Yeah, I don't think you can switch 26" tires for 29" tires because the cross beam above the rear tires is to close.
