PROBE was 25 years ago. Three additional Trek novels, a novella, and a story in an anthology later—not to mention thousands of copies of Music of the Spheres distributed for free, and tens of thousands of dollars raised for charity—it is, as I point out on my site, an annoying glitch out of which came wonderful things. And in the context of the fact that my Trek writing constitutes less than 30% of the body of my work, and PROBE less than 10% of that 30%, it’s telling that a handful of you can’t seem to stop obsessing about it.
