Superman is an American. He came to America as an immigrant and was raised as AMERICAN. American culture and American ideas.

He has no idea what life was actually like on Krypton cause he lived there for only a few months as a baby before being shipped off to Earth.

Thank God he wasn't raised French. He'd be surrendering everywhere.

German? Probably would have grown a funny mustache and started the Fourth Reich.

    Russian? World-wide commie bullshit.

    United Kingdom? Chav.

    Fuck you El Cunt! :finger:

I'm just thinking it's another gimmick like "The Death Of Superman".

Not for many decades now. They evolved to roughly a college-age/young adult audience in, what, the 70s? And those of us who've been collecting them since then still enjoy them in our 50s.

Come to think of it, they were aimed at adults in the 1950s, before the Comics Code Authority fucked it all up. After the CC applied their iron fist, THEN comics became kiddie-friendly. Eventually the publishers started rebelling against the rules, and started doing more serious, adult storylines. The trend-breakers probably being Green Arrow's sidekick's heroine addiction at DC, and Spidey's best friend's drug addiction over at Marvel.

Actually, if they really wanted to mirror real world events then Muslims would be waging jihad on superman and vowing to cut off his head since he was created by a couple of Jews.
