I don't agree with that at all. We (the US) go out of our way to make accomodations to people from other countries, they should do the same for us. Not only that - fuck 'em. I'll sit where I fucking want!
Having been to the Middle East I must say I have no desire to go there again, relate to their culture in any way, or accomodate them beyond basic decency in my own country. And I'm not without pity, but as an American woman what does she expect? I don't shove my hand into a snake den then get upset when I'm bit. They didn't just start acting this way yesterday, so I will say they don't pull any punches or sugarcoat their hard-core stance in this area.
I think the government would be more likely to sever with Saudi Arabia than Starbucks... Who else is going to make them an $8 cup of coffee with cream?

I agree 100% with those that say she needs to conform to the laws of the country she is in. I also advocate removing the word 'ally' from an text where it appears next to the words 'Saudi Arabia', severing all ties with that country, condemning them for their lack of human rights, ordering all Americans to leave the country, and then nuking those backward ass motherfuckers right off the face of the fucking planet.

As there are the single-biggest funding source for world-wide terrorism, maybe SA is where we should have invaded, not Iraq. I would, just for fun, repoint a number of our ICBMs at SA and let everyone know it and see what the reaction turns out to be. And I would pay cash money to beat the shit out of Prince Bandar.
Well, while that would in theory make more sense than invading Iraq did, I can't say it would have made more sense with this bunch that we currently have at the helm. If you think occupying Iraq has been a disaster, just imagine occupying Mecca. The way Bush and Cheney have handled things that would without a doubt have meant World War III and an awful lot of blood in American streets.
Perhaps we shouldn't have invaded anyone. I mean, Chris called it "sticking our heads in the sand", but really, why should we bother with any of those cultures?
That's a good question, actually. I've no doubt that they do but it's especially hypocritical given their oh-so-PC stance on everything else.
