Robert Downey Jr. has slammed Kurt Douglas for raping Natalie Woods, and he has pointed to the existence of a big Hollywood pedophile ring that nobody can touch.

I would go ahead and rule out any right wingers like James Woods or Clint Eastwood because they'd have been destroyed by the Hollywood rumor mill in a heartbeat.

Partly, but mainly because such a revelation would taint their entire body of work, and both actors have performed in many of my favorite films. If I could never again watch The Thing or The Big Lebowski without being constantly aware I'm watching a despicable pedophile, I'd be very sad.

It's much like it is with Cosby. His comedy albums--to say nothing of his TV and movie roles--are some of my favorite entertainments of all time, and now I can't listen to them (or recite from one) without thinking about what he's become.

This. Finding out Bill Cosby was a rapist destroyed my enjoyment of the Cosby Show, Himself, and a whole bunch of other fond memories I have of his work. Jeff Bridges, Kurt Russell, or in my case Tom Hanks especially, because I adore Tom Hanks. That would just break my heart.

In general, guys like this tend to not only have squeaky clean images, but there's something about their other activities which connect them to children. A lot of them tend to run charities or programs for children. Poke around in charitable organizations with strong ties to an A-Lister, and you'll probably find your man. Paul Newman, Richard Marx, Michael Jackson, and George Lucas, are four that I can think of off the top of my head who have such charities. No clue if any of them are kiddie diddlers, and I'm sure they're not the only ones who have such charities, so it could well be someone else.
