    Hell, most of the time, the A-Wing was still faster than anything else in the black even if you shunted full power to shields.

    But she reminds me more of the Japanese Zero fighter than the TIEs do, somehow. Manueverability, not armour.

    Y-Wing yes (I did a kitbash once using everything but the cockpit of a Y-Wing melded to the saucer of a Constellation-Class ship), but I can't see the A-Wing in that light.

    For some reason, I was only ever able to make that work once in X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter. But once, once... it did work.

    Excaliber and Dragon fighters from wing commander love the design.
