Given the choices in the poll, I chose the Enterprise E, But Kirk's movie ship is clearly the cooler design.

I guess it depends on what I was planning to do with the ship. Since I'm not a universe-conquering type, I don't particularly need the Darth Vader Super Star Destroyer.

The Pegasus, while it might be nice to look at, is strictly inferior to the other types of ships.

I guess it would have to be the Enterprise-E. Massive computer banks with all sorts of tech and info and advance AI. A sick bay that can cure pretty much any known disease. Transporters. The holodeck. Essentially unlimited fuel.

I'd make Henry Starling look like an amateur.

The Super Star Destroyer is 19 fucking kilometers. It's a fucking city in space.

As cool as the Enterprise-E is, it's only .685 kilometers.

I don't know how big the Pegasus is, but it holds less than 2,000 people, so it can't be that big.

I chose the Super Star Destroyer, because it can simply crush the other two. The one drawback is that all communications are done by way of a shitty blue hologram.

Battlestars are bloody massive, Pegasus was probably over a kilometre long. They don't hold many crew because they aren't intended to. The size is mainly for carrying fighters and the like, massive amounts of armaments and manufacturing facilities, and simply being virtually indestructible due to their size.

She's twice the size of Galactica, so about eight Nimitz carriers long.

Yeah, the Super Star Destroyer is huge but it can seemingly be taken out by an out-of-control A-Wing.

I'd prefer something that can stand up to a pounding.

Use the Super Star Destroyer to rape the other ships so I can get the goodies from them too.

How are they on gas mileage?

Does Vader's ship have a cup holder?

No contest. Has to be the Sovereign. That's one big, sexy hunk of metal and other assorted materials. A beautiful ship that packs a punch too. Perfect.

This thread, and the "Trek versus Wars" subtext, reminded me of a fantastic Trek verus Wars short story -- Portal by Graham Kennedy, which I'll share.

    Go here: http://www.ditl.org/

Click on Recreation at the bottom of the screen. You'll see "Portal on the left-hand side, near the bottom. Click on "Chapter One" and dive in.

The story includes members of the TNG and DS9 crews, and features the Enterprise and Defiant in prominent roles. Have fun reading!

Since I don't want to keep track of a crew of thousands, I think I'd take a pass on all of those. 'Specially the executor. Jesus. Be like running a small country.

Much rather have something I can land when I go camping.
