Why are you voting for Mitt Romney?

I know we have more than a few people on WF who will vote for Mitt Romney, either because they're Republicans and that's just how they roll, or because he's not Barack Obama just enough for them to hold their nose and go in. I've met very few people, either in real life or on the internet, who truly WANT to vote for Mitt Romney and even fewer who are actually enthusiastic about him and what he brings to the table.

So Romney voters...why Romney? Do you have genuine hope that he wins and think he has an exciting and dynamic vision of the future, or is it just because he's Not Obama?

And is anyone actually excited about the guy?

I doubt you'll find many takers on this -- you've already explained the only two reasons you're likely to get.

1. Status quo boilerplate warmongering foreign policy.

2. No chance of rolling back the TSA, drones, Homeland Security, wiretapping etc.

3. No chance of marijuana legalization.

4. Mormons freak me out, as do tee-totalers.

5. Crony capitalist

6. Standard boilerplate Republican herp derp, gay marriage, abortion, etc.

7. Contrary to Democratic herp derp, there won't be any significant change in spending, the warfare/welfare will grow unabated.

If I do vote Romney, it's because he isn't Obama. I might just "throw my vote away" and vote Libertarian.

Romney brings to the table zero new ideas and zero charisma. A vote for him is simply a vote against Obama.

He'll probably lose, and frankly, he deserves to.
