Why Can't I Be Allowed To Use Rep Freely While At the same time Not posting in RR?

I was told that if I kept using negative rep while not posting in threads in the Red Room that my rep privileges would be revoked which of course means board wide.

Why force someone to post in threads in one of the rooms if they don't want to. It makes no sense to me.

No one is forcing you to post. In fact, quite the opposite.

Rep doesn't mean anything so we are told.

So really no one should be complaining about it nor telling posters that to use rep they have to participate in a particular room.

Your whole "not posting" thing was ridiculous, and was made even more ridiculous bu the fact that you kept participating in the Red Room by way of neg rep trolling, an activity you've specifically claimed is unfair on many occasions.

That said, I don't see it as a reason to remove the ability.

No, if someone claims they’re going to abstain from posting in the Red Room, but engages in prolific use of the rep option in said Red Room, then they’re still participating in the Red Room, letting their opinions be known, and the entire exercise is pointless.

Hence, it’s not a hunger strike if you simply eat the leftover crumbs off of someone else’s plate. You’re still eating and your hunger strike is a vapid, useless, empty gesture.

No, what Dayton did was to say "I won't enter your living room", then went in anyway with a Harry Potter invisibility cloak, but gave himself away by burping, farting, coughing, and saying "WRONG!", in people's conversations.
Also, the cloak has a mustard stain we all see floating around.

Then when people said "I know you're there, Dayton", he just stood still and got real quiet.

I thought the existence of the Help forum and being told by an administrator to take your disagreement there implied some willingness on their parts to answer you.

It would probably be of use if they did, but it's their board and they aren't forced to.
