I've pointed out in other threads that Obama is a member of the pre-Clinton Democratic establishment, the one that failed utterly against Nixon in 1972, Reagan, Bush, Clinton in the 1992 primary, and Bush again. So why do you think Obama is doing so well against Hillary, and in the hypothetical polls against McCain?
I think people are tired of this administration and anyone who's worked with them has blood on their hands. That he makes people swoon like teenage girls makes him nigh unstoppable.
I think he viewed more positively than Hillary because he is far more relate able than Hillary is. Hillary just not come off as being a nice person. While Obama is able to make people feel reassured by his words and how he sounds when he speaks.
He's got buckets of charisma, he's not considered tainted by the last two decades of Washingon scandals, and he's running against Hillary, who has neither of those things going for her.
I have to admit, I do find something else to be rather amusing about Obama. He can say virtually anything and because of his charisma, because of how relate able he is people lap it up. But, when you look at what he says, he really doesn't say all that much, or anything really earth shattering. That has got to be something else that just pisses Hillary off to no end.
Most people have little understanding of economics, world politics, the implications of military decisions, and many other issues that the president deals with. They simply vote for the party they have come to trust and, within that party, for someone who talks nice. As for the 20 or 30 percent of people who actually can and do understand the issues, they are pretty much split between Clinton and Obama, because there is plenty to criticize on both sides. Thus, they won't tip the balance compared to the majority who pay more attention to style than to substance.
He has been anointed by the anti-christ herself. His presidency simply a part of the prophecy, the end times are upon us, soon we shall submit our souls to the evil known only by a single name. Oprah.
Yeah, I'll be curious to see how things break after he gets the nomination, which seems likely (though not inevitable) at this point in time. McCain, as much as some of the far right hates him, is fairly appealing to the moderates. It'll be interesting if Obama's lack of experience comes to the forefront.
I was discussing Obama with my stepfather a while back and something came up about his time in the senate. Apparently, when bills or articles came up he wouldn't actually vote on them just sign that he attended so he could fence ride until the upcoming elections. Do you really want a fencerider in office?
