This thread was Lubak's lead-footed attempt to troll Crazy Horse. For all the years he's been trolling, you'd think he'd be better at it.

    And, yeah, welcome to WF!

This is the point. You do not seem to be able to discern my POV because your reading comprehension sucks. and rather than ask for clarification, you make shit up and spew it on the board as if it were fact. This is not just "my POV". Nearly everyone on this board has at one time or another told you that you completely misinterpreted and misrepresented things they've said.

Then why not ask for clarification? why be a fucking ass and insist someone is saying something they aren't? This is why God hates you. You make shit up.

His point is he styles himself as this edgy executive who works out regularly and has a great body and a hot wife, etc., etc., etc. Kind of like a variation on Flashy's claim to being a lawyer/psychotherapist.

I thought it might be along those lines, but I didn't want to assume.

"You can't be right on anything because you're an ugly ka-ka face" is some goofy playground shit, and though I don't expect much from him, I expect better than THAT.

Meh. The core mentality behind Libertarian-ism co-opted the GOP. No need for a separate edifice anymore. It's not ALL of the Republican party, they had to make common cause with the White/Christian Nationalists but it got what it wanted in a party.

Yup. Libertarianism's simpleminded platitudes sound great until you actually see their consequences in action.

It's even worse when you realize Libertarians don't care about those consequences.

If you tell a Communist that Communist policies have killed people, they'll tell you that's not how Communism is supposed to work, or that the policies in question weren't really Communist.

If you tell a Libertarian that Libertarian policies have killed people, they'll tell you that's not their problem. No remorse, no regard for others. It's disgusting. :jayzus:

*And if you tell a Fascist/Nazi that their policies have killed people, they'll say "That's great! Now let's kill more people," which is why drawing equivalencies between Communism and Fascism is asinine. In one system deaths are a bug, in the other they're a feature. :async:

I don't know if it's fair to Libertarians or to ex mayor Tim Boyd to lump the two together, But against the backdrop of the freeze knocking leaving his residents without power, heat and water, Boyd's message was: everyone for themselves, and our government has no obligation to bail you out.

    https://www.nydailynews.com/news/na...0210217-la43qjf5dbeadnuz7jaa3mqgiy-story.html

When that, of course, is the very essence of government. The notion of going fuck you, I've got mine in the face of a natural disaster the size of this storm is mindboggling to me.

This seems to be the fail of libertarianism that made me leave it. I appreciate the comforts socialism can provide, and the safety nets it could use to raise up society to new heights. As far as I am concerned libertarianism devalues and excludes a lot of societal evolution and technological evolution for reasons that do not add up. It is a shortsighted and infantile political philosophy.

For all the problems that come with a government over society there are huge evolutionary benefits to having the state involved in regulation and providing utilities. Libertarianism tears all that down and makes us tribal so that we ignore the dangers of certain activities people would be restricted from doing in a dangerous manner.
