I'll still disagree that my ban was "legitimate" since the information I used has been posted by the member in question and that member identified it as his information, not me. If it's "legitimate" then it was the weakest of the weak as you don't see @gul handing out bans to people who call @14thDoctor Ray or posting information about @Dayton3's school records (some of which has been mention by folks like Face without Dayton's permission. What this was was Gul's dick measuring contest. Nothing more...and to be honest it's not so much about whether or not my ban is justified, it's more @gul going after people he either dislikes or who give him shit. Coming off the back of his disgraceful attempt to drive @gturner off the board (despite having gone after Flashlight and Castle for supposedly driving people away from the board) I just felt here was a guy taking his position as owner and abusing it in any way he seems fit, and not only does that mean that people can no longer post with any confidence they will be treated fairly, it's just plain wrong that one of the former critics of folks like @Lanzman is the worst abuser of his position of any owner in the board's history. Undermining posters like gturner and Flashlight just because they are disliked is just plain out of order. I've been banned before and probably would have thought nothing of this one just like previous ones, but off the back of all he has been doing to others it didn't feel simply about a very minor rule breach. It felt much more about going after people he dislikes.

Highly debatable. People that quietly insecure are ways unreliable. His attacks on Castle, Flashlight and gturner show he is not to be trusted. What other mod or owner do you see behaving like that? None of them.

Dayton is not worthless....and the comment that he is is offensive. Like it or not we do not behave this we with each other outside of WF. I disagree with Dayton on a great many things and this is the place we choose to air those disagreements....but a friendship is not reliant on being politically or socially aligned. It is because Dayton is different from me that I like him, just as I have always been interested in people, places and cultures different from me. I also believe that he has very poor communication skills and spends a lot of time with his foot in his mouth, influenced by those he has grown up around, but that underneath it all he has a core decency, even if misguided.

Dayton has 100x the value to me and to this board than a boring non-entity windbag like you.

You laugh, but I have actually done that several times in my youth as Cockfosters isn't far from my parents. I also fell asleep on the overground train from Liverpool Street a couple of times around the same age and ended up in Cambridge at 1:00am. No strength or health for that sort of partying these days.
