Why Is Starguard banned?

Does anybody think Starguard really wanted to talk about Cleopatra or Egypt in upteen different threads?

Come on, people. Use a little common sense.

You have to work at it to crap up the RR with spam, but Starguard did it, got warned, continued to do it, and got smacked down.

There is no controversy on this. Starguard got what he deserved.

How about this? Make me a mod. I'll take thirty seconds out of my porn viewing time every day to box or move Starguard threads. Problem solved.

Paladin made the right call. Starguard was going nuts with the spam threads and was repeatedly asked nicely to please not do that. And this, I might add, goes back to the previous management! We were patient for a long time, even in the face of lots of people calling for Starguard to be banned for cause.

Oh well. One content-free thread too many and he gets to sit out until he emails me asking to be let back in.

Whenever a spambot registers and starts spamming, it gets banned.

Obviously this can only be temporary. A Wordforge without Starguard is like a Star Wars franchise without JarJar Binks.

Every ban is sacred and that is why i am a mod or admin not some tech support person on a message board.

I was once mightily smited for failing to comply with a demand by Listkeeper. This situation seems ripe for trolling, but it really isn't - these happen to be the one ironclad rules you really can't argue around. When a mod tells you to do something, you have no good, non-disruptive reason for not doing it. If he did it anyway then there is no saving him.

ERM AKA total fucking bullshit, since trolling is allowed in the Red Room. But the original point still stands - you do what you want. A person doesn't need 50 special warnings to get the point.

But it means most of the good posters won't be here. Because his shit clutters up the Red Room, or any room he posts in, and quite frankly I don't come around much when that happens. And I'm sure a lot of other people agree with me.
