    Looking at it as a cost to benefit issue, there'd never be a net benefit to it.

    Actually Gundams and other giant mecha would be the worst white elephants of all.

    Higher profile, lighter-armoured and lighter-armed than a conventional machine (for example a tank) of the same mass.
