To take out fortified command facilities or missile silos you'd have to use ground burst weapons, which would create considerable fallout. If such a strike were to be done during the winter months, the prevailing winds would carry the fallout over Japan.

It should wait for them to fizzle and fall into the sea well before their target, if they even get that far. Then point and laugh.

I would exhaust every less-destructive alternative before resorting to nuclear strike. Also, I feel like you found some mighty specific figures to pull out of your ass regarding how many nukes you'd like to send... 1.21 jigawatts!

I don't know... there's a chance that you actually know what you're talking about because I sure don't know how many licks it takes to wipe NK off the map.

Would you consider just sending in a small team of elites to take out Kim? I never thought I'd say this, but perhaps a regime change really is the best solution sometimes.

    It might help.

But it won't eliminate their nuclear weapons or their conventional threat to Seoul.

What if they don't fizzile and at least some of them land relative close to Guam? Say within a few miles give or take.

    M. Bison, meet Dayton.

Nothing puts the lead in his pencil quicker than discussing military nomenclature and capabilities. :yeehaw:

We've been chasing their subs, sink on of them, capture the crew and give them the Otto Warmbier treatment.

You are trying to be clever, but I'd characterize it as boring rather than amusing. After all these years, you're still not very good at it. Keep trying, though.

Dayton needs to read this and realize that KJU's posturing is merely that, and is of very little danger to nearly anyone.

I'm glad to see you are willing to base American security on what KJU won't do.

also mentioned in the article you linked to are American missile defense systems.

Aren't those the same missile defense systems that liberal/progressive have been trying to defund for decades and repeatedly claim "won't work"?

If Kim takes the shot, I think the best response we could make is conventional strikes on his infrastructure. Show the world we have some restraint, and that nukes are just not necessary for these little conflicts.

One of my sillier liberal friends went on facebook yesterday with "SEE? SEE? I told you Trump would get us into a nuclear war! So many, many people are going to die because of his stupidity!!"

And one of her friends followed up with "Many, many thanks to his arrogance! It's horrible!!"

According to the NK doctrine even a limited enemy attack must be responded to with total war. If KJU doesn't do that then it signals weakness to everyone and since he is like Donnie Small Hands he will never allow that.

That will kikely mean total war and if it really is total war either go all in or avoid it.

No of course not you numb nut. I know it's much to ask but look at a fucking map. Radioactivity which doesn't care about borders? Also, civilians? No?

But I would support tearing their teeth out in one sneaky night's strike. Can't be more than 20 big, crude nukes. Special forces should be able to take them out simultaneously no matter where they are hidden. As a little distraction, stealth bomb their artillery along the DMZ into oblivion. Maybe hit Kim's palace while you're at it. One never knows who plunders the fridge during the night.

    Tweet  in the morning.

Assuming the three letter agencies know where all their crap is. Which is doubtful.
