A lying politician (I know nothing new or shocking there) is attempting to dictate to millions of people how they should live and conduct their lives yet fails miserably in practicing what he preaches. The governor must be taking notes from the likes of Al Gore.

The taxpayers in CA are paying for the governor to have a lavish hotel in Sacramento, something that at one time when he was still a man of his word actually used during the week. Like many of the legislatures in this state, he would in Sacramento Monday through Thursday. Than he would hop onto his private jet and fly home. It is about a little bit more than an hour flight from Sacramento to Los Angeles, and even less time for those who fly on private planes.

Most working Californians spend more time in traffic ever day of the week.

Now, the Terminator has jumped on the Al Gore, Global Warming bandwagon. Yet, like the former VP doesn't live the life that he expects everyone else to live.

Whose fault is that? It isn't as if he can't afford to purchase a home if he wanted to or needed too.
This is a man who claimed that he wouldn't be ruled by contributors and special interest when he first took office. He claimed to have enough money to handle things on his own.

Exactly - from Al Gore, the neutral neutral man on global warming. He's so neutral, he's gonna make 75 million from it on him!

Yes, that famous old fall back. He is very much following the hypocritical lead established by Al Gore.

I can't see that The Governator has, as governor, been anything other than exactly what an impartial observer, before Ahnuld's election, would have expected him to be as governor.

Well, he used to park his planes at my local airport. Thanks to KIRK's vote, he's had to move 'em upstate.

Thank you for helping keep the air cleaner in my town, KIRK! :techman:

Pardot, you might be right. Unfortunately for everyone in CA, he has not done the job he claimed that he would do in either his initial campaign for office, or his re-election campaign. He has done nothing that he said he would do.

It came from Al Gore, what do you expect, something legitimate, honest, or truthful coming from him?

Guys like the Governator keep me gainfully employed, and I know for a fact he pays for that jet out of pocket- it doesn't cost Cali a dime.

I didn't think it did, I was just focusing on the carbon credit handjob angle.

Ya think they'll have little books like S&H Green Stamps did eventually?

If they do, you won't see me using them. If you are looking at carbon footprints, I'm the devil incarnate. I fly rich people around in private jets, converting tasty Jet-A into noise and fumes ALL DAY and then I go home and drive a gas-guzzling V-8 Mustang GT. And I barbecue red meat on the weekends.

    I am the anti-Gore. :tasvir:

You are employed by the state of California?

As for his jet, he pays for some of it I'm sure. But, he also pays for a fair share of his six figure daily trips to and from Sacramento via lobbyists and campaign supporters. In other words he is financially beholden to people. Something that he claimed he would not be in both of his campaigns.

Very true, they do lie. The problem in my lies in the fact that far too many of us are willing to say they lie and leave it at that. I for one prefer and choose not to support these types of liars any longer.

I have to admit, I am getting there as well. I'm definitely not voting for either one of the knuckleheads that either of the two main parties will put up for us to choose from in November. Not a single one of them are worthy of being the President.

As for good old Arnie, I'd very much vote in favor yet another recall election to kick his sorry ass out of office.

I'd like to be a fly on the wall when the election officials open my write-in ballot and see "Zombie Jefferson Davis".

Is it just me, or is Kirk being lambasted by folks here who... think he should not change his opinion about a politician based on what they do?

If so, is it dislike of Kirk, or density?

I am using as a basis what I have read in tabloids such as the LA Times who has reported how Governor Terminator covers the costs of his private jet travel to and from Sacramento as well as his travels abroad under the rationalization of promoting the State of California. So I may indeed be incorrect, but I haven't seen anyone providing me or anyone else here any alternative information to dispute what the Times has reported thus far.

If I am incorrect, I'd love to see some current information that shows how Arnie is covering the six figure cost of using his personal for daily travel to and from Sacramento.
