You may notice that reputation comments are no longer public. I have disabled that particular hack to determine its effect on our server usage. If it turns out that it's not causing it, it will return immediately, otherwise it will not return until a suitable fix is found.

Thanks for your patience, and please report any slowdowns as soon as you see them so I can get a better handle on when this is happening.

Well, that's stopped me just starting a thread, having clicked on a rep comment in User CP...

You still get rep, its just nobody can see it.

I was just about to start a thread on this too. Hopefully this isn't what is causing the slow down.

I hope it's not the cause! The rep comments amuse me.

Lack of rep comments makes me a saaaaad paaanda.

I bet the board malfuntions were fake, and this really has to do with rep war bullshit.

Also, much of the staff enjoys the rep function too, you know and would hate to see it go/stay hidden.

How about simply disabling "last rep given" for a while and seeing if that is the issue.

Another thing we might want to try is more cowbell.

The comments were the only reason to even have the rep feature. Without those amusing little blivets, you might as well tear the whole silly thing out.

I miss seeing the reppage.

Awesome, I found a much more recent version of the hack, and it seems to work without overloading the server.
