The show were deputy assbag threw a fucking wailing tantrum when CDC Man didn't immediately let him in. No regard for upsetting his kid, or the danger he put him in by leading everyone to this highly-dubious location. Shows his ass all the damned time, yet for some reason continues to presume an air of authority. If it weren't for his access to guns, he'd be useless.

I'd keep the portion of the writing staff that was responsible for the broader strokes of the plot, and shitcan whoever writes this dialogue.

Sunday nights at 8 or 9 around here. AMC, I think.

I caught up on what Cox Cable calls "Freezone." It works like Pay-Per-View, but there's no additional charge for it.

Thanks. Now I have to send myself an email to remind myself to check in on AT&T's ... pay per view or On Demand.

Yeah, the On Demand menu is where I found the old episodes. There's only a handfull of them.

I'm caught up again and disappointed. The bad acting and writing continue. I am sticking with it because of the Zombies.

My point exactly! Why/how would anyone but an 11-Bullet Stopper know about a sound suppressor? And in my case, if the Apache + Blackhawk helicopters coming + going don't give away your position, nothing will, so why try to be silent?

I'm in that, "I wanna see where they're goin with it" I can overlook any bad characters or dialogue just to see what sort of apocalypse we're dealing with.

:wtf: If they take the BSG route and turn this into an even bigger fucking soap opera the show can go fuck its self.

Just so y'all know, they have SERIOUSLY deviated from the comics as of the most recent episode.

The graphic novels are just compilations of the ongoing monthly series. If I were you, I'd start with the first one and continue on through.

I actually have the first eight or nine. If you want to borrow them, I don't mind getting them to you.

Yeesh. Latest episode continues the overall crapitude that has existed since the second week. Weak characters, contrived plots, horrible dialogue, and forced drama via the deaths of people no one really cares about. I'm ready for a massive die off of the current cast.

And yet the show pulls in good ratings each week. Me thinks some here want Shakespeare too much.

So, pretty much like Romero's first movie Night of the Living Dead?

Has this been established already or is that based on the comic book?

I think they covered it in the show already, even if only obliquely. But they DEFINITELY go over that in the comics.

Bad acting? Bad writing? What fucking show you are all watching, cause it sure as hell ain't The Walking Dead! So far this is the best damn show on TV with good acting and writing, far better than most of the current crap that's out there.

If you think the show is so bad, stop watching! I will continue to watch and enjoy myself.

It hasn't been established in the show yet.

They will probably bring this up in the second season.

It is possible for a thinking being to find a program enjoyable enough to continue watching without becoming such a mindless gusher that you're unable to conceive of any reasoned criticism. If you can't tolerate anything but a glowing review, then you can stop reading.

I have no problems with differences of opinion, and neither should you. I merely suggested that anyone that truly hates the show should stop watching it instead of bitching about it week after week. And since all opinions are valid, MY opinion is that I do not agree with those people complaining about the writing or acting.

Your opinion was that everyone should accept the idiotic dichotomy of "watch it and only say positive things about it" or "don't watch at all."

Anyone who seeks to impose those conditions is invited to go fornicate themselves with a tire iron.

That's funny, because what he said was "If you think the show is so bad, stop watching!"

Ash didn't have a few minor nitpicks.

"overall crapitude that has existed since the second week. Weak characters, contrived plots, horrible dialogue, and forced drama via the deaths of people no one really cares about"

Based on his comments, I can't understand why he continues to watch it either.

Mind you, I don't begrudge the fellow his opinion. I disagree, but he's right to say what he feels. I just don't get how someone so sour on a show would keep watching.

Yeah, I know what the fuck he said, and that wasn't all of it. I don't need you to repeat the rest of it for me, either.

You don't need to understand, and neither does Blackdove. If he wants to watch it every week and declare it unwatchable, you two are both free to skip his posts.

Being annoyed with certain characters or aspects to the show doesn't mean you hate the show or should stop watching.

It's post apocalyptic fiction, I'm there. :bailey:

As I mentioned in my first negative post, I watch because it's a zombie apocalypse. I had high expectations for this show. AMC has a track record of excellence. So far they've dropped the ball. Now I'm seeing that they've fired the entire writing staff, so apparently someone agrees with me.

Here's a quick example of what I'm talking about: The RV breaks down due to the lack of some kind of hose. They referenced this problem once before. They can't find a hose for this thing . . . in a world loaded with abandoned vehicles. But anyway, it's broke and according to the old guy, who's name I can't remember, it's going to be a pain to fix. There's some serious pessimism here. Of course, what's-his-face decides he wants to be left to die so this distracts us from the whole RV problem. Which is good because in the next scene the RV is driving off while what's-his-face slowly dies against a tree. Now by this point in the episode I was definitely multitasking so it's possible I missed a scene where they fixed the RV or mentioned how they fixed it before driving off. But then again, if they could fix it that easily then what the hell were they worried about in the first place? And why didn't they just fix it earlier, before it failed? The show is filled with shit like that. Why did they show us a scene of someone putting up noisemakers around the camp if they were just going to have zombies silently sneak into the camp in a later episode? How did they do that? Did they low crawl in? Were there gigantic gaps in the noise maker perimeter? I was hoping maybe Merle let them in, but he seems to be out of sight, out of mind right now. WTF?
