There are a few shows that I am interested in giving a go: Though I expect I'll be down to one or two before mid-season...
Are there new episodes of Walking Dead out yet? Pretend you're talking to someone who doesn't have cable.
So I watched Ringer last night. It reinforced my viewpoint that the worst part about Buffy the Vampire Slayer was Buffy herself. My God, Sarah Michelle Gellar can NOT fucking act! Other than that, the setup and the plot was intriguing enough that I'll watch at least one more episode.
Oh, I think SMG is a perfectly decent actress, it's just that the last two seasons of Buffy were mostly shit, and the writers made her a colossal bitch.
I thought it was pretty decent, and my like for the cop and the husband (neither of whom's name i easily remember) well outweighs my opinion of SMG.
Yeah. Buffy should have stayed dead after season 5. And then they should have started a new series with Faith! Although I did like a lot of the stuff from season six, especially Dark Willow.
Unless something changes The Walking Dead should start October 16, 2011 at 9pm. Archer for those who watch it has three new episodes out right now. Sept 15, 22, 29 Thursday 1030 pm. First episode was hilarious. If you missed it I'd recommend finding it. The rest of the new season will start in Jan 2012. Justified start date hasn't been announced but it would not surprise me if they start it around the same time as The Walking Dead to try to partnership the two shows. Edit: Margo Martindale -- On September 18, 2011, Martindale won the 2011 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her performance as Mags Bennett on Justified.
17th Precinct was not picked up by NBC. Ron Moore has moved on to other projects. 17th Precinct is out of business.
Watched Glee and New Girl. I keep watching Glee because no other show makes me hate the protagonists quite as much as Glee does. I was laughing my ass off when Kurt and Rachel were sobbing in the car. Not that I really like the antagonist... I just see the characters in Glee as a good case for nuking humanity. New Girl was good. Of course, I'll watch anything with Zooey Deschanel so take that with a grain of salt. "Cheesy and knows it" is good.
Person of Interest = damned good. IMO. Great concept, well executed. Cavezel as "the brawn" (i.e. John Reese) was a bit too restrained for my tastes, I'm not sure he's the best actor for the role (I'd kind of like to have seen Michael Shanks playing that part) but Michael Emerson as "the brains" (i.e. Mr. Finch) was slam dunk perfect, and more than enough to carry even a marginal show.
It didn't rely on awkwardness for laughs most of the time, and when it did, it hung it on a lampshade (or rather, put it in the douchebag jar).
Charlie's Angels was ok. Somewhat predictable. The actresses need some work. I give it a 6 and Zel gives it a 6.75. Probably will give it a chance or two more, but am not overly excited about it.
I will be watching the new season of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Today will be the 2nd part of the season premiere two parter, and the villain is voiced by John de Lancie, who even behaves like Q on the show. 9 AM EST on the HUB.
Well, you should know who John de Lancie and "Q" are. As for MLP:FiM, if you're forced to watch it, at least you'll likely enjoy it.
