Shooting in Belgium

Damn. Crazy guy starts shooting and throwing grenades in a public space, then blows his head off. Wasn't a sustained rampage like in Oslo, but a burst of violence that ended as quickly as it started. What a thing to witness.

To do any kind of illegal drug. If you've smoked so much as a single joint, you supported this guy and are guilty of his crimes.

I'd say it more likely he did less damage if he there were armed civilians nearby. You can't keep guns out of the hands of criminals, period, and you can't count on the police to respond in time to save your family from being shot.

While we're on murder...

There was a murder here at the weekend, of a guy I know vaguely from playing against him in football. The papers all have a picture of him with me in the background. I'm famous!

They still go armed with a particularly sweet toothrotable waffle. Trust me, I've seen in in a dark alley in Brussels. It's quite scary.
