I just heard on the Mark Levin show, I'll track down the links in a bit, that the older brother was interviewed by the FBI approximately two years ago at the behest of another country that thought he was an extremist. Then later this guy went to Russia for 6 months in his old home town and not being a citizen was allowed to come back anyway.

HAs anyone else been seeing some of the conspiracy stuff yet?

There's a couple others out there too. One implicates these two new guys as being part of whatever Blackwater calls itself now, another shows the white hatted suspect running from the explosion WITH his backpack still on...

What's bothering me most is that Americans seem to be willing to allow the Fourth Amendment to be sacrificed for a grand display of catching bad guys based on a couple of (now questionable) security videos.

What violation of the 4th amendment are you talking about? That 'door to door' search didn't mean police entering houses against their will - the vast majority of houses didn't get searched, just the areas around them, and the police were mostly checking on whether people were OK. There's lots of people that have been on the radio indicating that they saw the cops, but the cops didn't enter their homes.

Yeah. What's being reported is that the police went and knocked on doors to make sure everyone was alright and the police checked out the yards.

Had police being forcing their way into homes you would have at least one person who would have spoken up about it.

    As for the backpack picture.

    Two possibilities.

One you can't say that it is the backpack of the guy. In fact it looks like the strap is not black which would make it one of the bombers backpack. The rest of the backpack is mangled. You just can't tell from the picture.

Two we know the police exploded a couple of items they thought were suspicious. Lot's of people dropped their stuff when the bombs went off and the people were running away. It's one of the things the police were having difficulty with was the number of bags all over the place with the possibility any of them could have a bomb in it. This could be what happened to this particular bag.

Then of course you have the fact that so many people were recording or taking pictures. If the two guys were involved it would have been spotted. And they would have to be idiots to wear what they were wearing and planting bombs because they stick out like sore thumbs.

They were part of a security detail. They weren't operating alone. You can find pictures of them on the internet. Just google in Boston Bomb Conspiracy.

    Hell here's one: http://www.prisonplanet.com/more-ph...curity-running-drills-at-boston-marathon.html

Somehow the idiot who wrote that even ties it into that sniper that was murdered a couple months back.

Makes sense... you're totally right about the remnants of the straps. Looking closer, you can see the pack's side panels are the same colour too.

Demi-I would think that house to house blanket searches were a bit over the line the fourth exists for?

The guy in the middle of the top image and the two guys in the second image on the bottom are more likely to be undercover cops rather than CIA or some shadowy organization. Undercover cops aren't all that uncommon for these sorts of events. Also, the photo of them in the second bottom image was taken after the blast, for what it's worth. Not that any of that will keep the conspiracy nuts *cough*Black Dove*cough* from spouting this bullshit as fact.

Here's a thermal image of the kid hiding in the boat.

Look near the top right of the image and you'll see the words "LRF Armed 3116 ft" and "LP Armed". I wonder what those mean?

Yeah I think LRF stands for Laser Range Finder. That's why the distance is given right below it. LP probably stands for Laser Pulse. Whatever object it was pointed at was 3116 feet away from the helicopter when the pulse was fired.

    Here's the footage:

    [yt=Thermal helicopter footage]k_ztMtty9fY[/yt]

It doesn't appear to be constantly taking a measurement, but the distance does occasionally change during the video. You also get to see the robot lifting the boat cover up and a few flashbangs going off.

This is the stuff idiocy is made of.

Why even bother debunking it? Most people don't buy into any conspiracy, and those who do will just assume anything that disproves the conspiracy is part of it. Waste of time.

Actually most people do buy into conspiracy. They aren't fanatical about it like the idiots who posted those pictures but when you talk to them you realize that they believe for example that the government did it.

It's a big problem around this country.

That's a good, "I dunno." video. It doesn't look good on the part of the police in many ways, but at the same time, its not obvious when that was shot. How soon after the shoot out with police did it happen? How close was it to any of the shootings? Was it near the house where dude was later found? Did the residents of the house do something stupid, like yell, "Up yours, pigs!"? Did someone who disliked the residents call in a phony tip to the police? Were the cops just being dicks because they could? I dunno.
