The absolutely best part about my marriage is that Zel is my best friend and we have so much fun together and it would still be the best and most important relationship in my life even if we never had sex again. I would lose my world if I lost him. And I can't even imagine how sad and lonely a marriage built on nothing but sex, reproduction and the notions of duties and obligation would be.

He doesn't like sex, and sees no need for it aside from... well I'm not sure. He's said he doesn't understand why someone would have sex because the power is out, or just because they want to, or because any other reason.

Technically he's right, as any logic problem can be boiled down to symbolic formulas.

You still generally require premises and the truth value of those premises--i.e. facts or untruths--in order to determine the outcome of a logical argument. A->B doesn't tell you anything about B if you know nothing about A.

Don't get me wrong -- his declaration was horribly misplaced in the thread where he posted, but if we are ignoring the valuations of our symbology, you can make a logical argument without sourcing any facts. Even more so, you can counter somebody else's argument by finding flaws in the logic, regardless of factual quality.
