He's being pretty fucking upfront. He has a guy who will erase webpages and he's threatening to use him to get rid of unflattering pages about Dayton.
There is no question there Garamet. Also as said before, a Christian is not obligated to answer the questions of an atheist. I'm no computer expert, but it is my understanding that it is similar to a keyword search that you use to identify when someone with a certain username makes a post or starts a thread. It (supposedly) make information in each of those posts inaccessible. I'm not a programmer so I've no idea how it works (or for certain if at this point) but I did see it demonstrated. I assume it would leave everything else intact.
Why would you want to erase it in the first place? Those are things that you said. Are you ashamed of them? I also think you need to retract the threat that you made against the board, however delusional it was.
Because you can take anything out of context. The board isn't being threatened. Only anything posted by me or with my name in it.
You are threatening to delete the posts of anyone who has ever quoted you. You have no right to do that. Also, what if I print the thread? Are you going to send in some special forces to burn my paper copies? Or what about internet archive copies? Offline copies? You don't have a clue what you're talking about.
Yes there is, and the question is rather obvious. Are you proposing to have parts of Wordforge deleted or hinder access to it? Really? Well, that's interesting isn't it! At least 30 million Americans are now atheist. Is the great Dayton Kitchens saying that if he were President he'd not be accountable to them? Hardly the makings of a "good" President me thinks.
You've got to wonder why such a great mind would feel the need to want to delete his history. Surely, much like his diary thread, he wants his wisdom to be appreciated once his Presidential library has been built.
@Dayton3, you need to explain yourself, lest the horsemen decide to bring the apocalypse on your ass. Answer @shootER's question, and answer it before you go on with other unrelated postings.
Yeah, you go ahead and try that... See, how this actually works is that you give them your credentials and a lot of money, and they monotonously (or scriptedly, depending on the target sites' software) go through all your posts and delete them, or in some cases alter them to make you look better. Then they send a baseless C&D to the website owner to get them to remove quoted posts and such, often invoking the DMCA. Any TOS worth its salt however on a user-generated content forum (forums, Yelp, etc.) grants the website a perpetual, irrevocable license to reproduce the work (otherwise posts wouldn't be able to be shown to other users). The website owner is thus free to ignore these letters, or send a sarcastic "Bite me" response. Then in right-to-be-forgotten countries they send a letter to Google and Bing requiring them to block searches for you. Unfortunately for you, the US is not one of those countries. Basically, you're fucked if you ever try to run for any sort of public office.
But he knows someone that can make it happen. I'm guessing the person copied the page source he demo'd to his computer, then deleted the appropriate parts, and opened it the results in a web browser.
^ all of that, plus all the back ups we have all made of Daytons shite over the years. I don't have chickens so i keep all my important files in the rabbit hutch!
I probably should feel bad that a Google search for "Dayton L Kitchens" has this as a result, but I don't.
In any case, when one sees how unmercifully any candidate for any serious office is torn apart by his adversaries in the primaries, by the other party in the general election, by the media and the public no matter what political orientation he or she has, it should be obvious that Dayton would be savaged like no candidate ever has been if he ever tried to run for any office beyond some local post where there are no other candidates. Even if he could somehow get all his posts here and elsewhere "erased" and there wasn't anyone anywhere with a backup, if a number of people all said (even with no posts to back them up) that he had at one time in the past slapped his wife, the media would be all over it. He would have to lie repeatedly, convince his wife to lie repeatedly, and do so convincingly, for as long as he was in the public spotlight. The very idea is ludicrous, and makes no sense whatsoever to anyone who has paid attention to how American politics works.
As much as it would be funny to ban dayton for making a threat against the board, watching Castle's meltdown if you let it slide would be amusing
It galls me that now I have to think of a new way to stop my opinions being taken out of context and reported widely in the media. I will just have to work on browbeating most of you into submission. Manipulating and eliminating people who use my personal information to damage me is still a legitimate tactic.
Yeah, if he were to try to run for office above the level of school board or city council member, Dayton's posts here would be the least of his worries.
@John Castle does get upset by perceived double standards. And for a guy who sees everything in binary, that's a mighty big demon staring him in the face.
