Yes! That's why in the military you say weak unnaceptable pushups are "motel pushups." It looks like you are fucking versus doing proper pushups.

I never "got" dove hunting. There's hardly any meat on them. No doubt it's a challenge but it just never caught fire with me.

Politico story on Sanders' Black Lives Matter problem.

He was already having trouble attracting minority voters. Now he’s got a real problem.

Bernie Sanders has a Black Lives Matter problem, and it doesn’t look like it’s going away anytime soon.

Sanders makes an appealing target for the grass-roots movement — the surging presidential candidate has been drawing monster crowds on the campaign trail, giving protesters high-impact moments when they disrupt his events. And the activists say that since he holds himself out as the most progressive candidate, he is the logical champion for their cause.

But for Sanders, the headlines of hijacked events risk casting further doubt that the self-described democratic socialist can make it all the way to the White House.

While he’s been winning over crowds with his fiery message of income inequality, minority voters aren’t biting.

In late July, a Gallup poll showed that only 25 percent of nonwhite Democratic or Democratic-leaning voters view Sanders favorably, compared with 80 percent for front-runner Hillary Clinton.

Despite his history as a young radical promoting the civil rights movement in the 1960s, Sanders is struggling to shake his persona of a 73-year-old white guy from Vermont, a state that is 95 percent white.

Fucking is the only acceptable reason for doing push-ups in the first place. What military folk call "Real" push-ups make it look like you're fucking... and forgot to get a partner.

That's why you shoot more than one or two, deadeye.

Pull the breast meat off, wrap it with jalapeno and bacon then grill or roast it.

    Good, good eating.

Blah-blah-blah. Q.v. Post #1350. Or, better yet, put Sanders out of your mind and go back to squealing "HILLAREEEEEEE!!!11!"

    http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2015/08/donald-trump-and-roger-ailes-make-up-for-now.html

Haha! Trump beat Fox at it's own game. Reportedly after the debate Fox got a flood of emails virtually all in support of Donald Trump saying Fox had unfairly attacked Trump and was being biased against him. Several even declared Fox was in the pocket of the GOP establishment, which is true as Fox routinely coordinates with GOP insiders. Even worse Trump declared he would boycott Fox.

Well, this scared Roger Ailes and now Ailes is promising nothing but favorable coverage for Trump if only Trump would agree to start granting interviews to Fox again. As if anyone needed further proof that Fox wasn't real news and has always been nothing but a political operation.

Usually this sort of game is what conservatives do to the real news media in an attempt to blackmail them into only giving kiddy questions to right wing loons. It is nice to see Fox a victim of its regular tactic.

^I wonder if Trump paid any of those "supporters" the way he paid out-of-work actors to attend his "big rally" in NY...

That is a good idea though I have some questions about how mental health information would be handled?

Should a person who was in counseling for anger management 7 years before be denied a firearm? Or a person treated for depression after a child died?

A friend who used to work at Fort Meade messaged me and said:

Holy fuck. Shillary's emails included shit that was up to Top Secret/SI/TK/NF... that's some serious shit.
You don't got to jail for that, you go to Leavenworth.
Code Words that I can't reveal, except NF means "No Forn"
Which means you can't disseminate to anyone from a foreign government, even allies.
I signed a piece of paper when I left that I'd never even utter the words that go with the code word initials for 70 years. I'd go to prison

I'm guessing Special Intelligence and Talent Keyhole.
    I didn't sign anything :D

You asshole! You got at least one of 'em right. :P

    (TS//SI-G 1234-M/TK-L//NF)
That was on the last fundraising e-mail I got from the Hillary campaign.

Well you have a point about "more than one." I do like hunting squirrels, and it takes a few to make a meal. Arizona high country (Abert Squirrels) are HUGE though and are definitely worth hunting.
Beautiful bushy tail, and the area where they live (pint trees, cool breezes) is great.

Negative Ghost Rider! Pushups are a great multi-joint exercise - been around for thousands of years. Works the chest, triceps, and shoulders (I guess, I'm not feeling that) and the abs, keeping your body rigid as in doing a plain plank. No equipment needed either, hence they are used for large groups of people at a time. Also changing your angle (feet elevated for example) and hand positioning can give them even more effectiveness. I really struggled with them when I first joined the Army. After a few years I got much better though. I think the most I ever did within the two minute PT test standard is around 65 or 75 or so. I was around 30 years old if I remember right, very much my "physical prime." Damn now I'm sad :( I'm 23 years past my prime! :drama:

Unless Hillary Clinton has one foot in the grave or both feet in prison I have no doubt she will be the Democratic nominee. Maybe even then.

You're probably right. But Bernie's keeping her on her toes and pulling her out of her centrist trying-to-please-everybody (except @gturner who's ascared of her) position, and that's a good thing.

Hillary has been tracking more to the left than expected but she probably would've done some of that anyway just to keep bitching and moaning from the hard left to a minimal.

This time next year, we'll be into the fourth month of "Hillary Clinton: A Moderate Momma for America".

That's an interesting piece -- essentially he argues that Sanders gets the same 30 that he once split with Elizabeth Warren. I wonder if it's as simple as that. I suspect at least a decent chunk of Warren supporters want to vote for a woman, even if it means somebody less perfectly aligned with their general politics. So did Sanders get some Warren supporters, plus something else? If so, what's the something else?

I suspect the vast majority of Sanders' supporters really wish they could vote for Warren.

Besides those who want to vote for the first female president, reasons a Warren supporter would flip to Clinton instead of Sanders could include:
    • Whatever else you might think about her, Clinton damn well knows how to get things done ... and how to win. That's part of what annoys many people about her: she'll throw a lot of principles out the window if that's what it takes to win. But no liberal Democrat wants to see anyone in the Republican field get elected. Sanders seems like he'd rather be right than win. Clinton would rather win than be right.
    • Even though there are only six years between them, Sanders reads as a lot older than Clinton.
    • Clinton is not hard to imagine as the chief executive. Even my very conservative former boss said during the '08 primaries that if Clinton were the nominee, he still wouldn't vote for her, but he'd feel safe with her as commander-in-chief in a way that he wouldn't with Obama. Warren has some of those same qualities. But where Warren comes off as sharp and incisive, Sanders comes off as a bit of a crank.
