    I also want to help the poor by becoming President of the United States and spending all welfare money on our military instead.

    That way the poor will be helped by new jobs in the military. Mostly abroad in the countries we conquer.

    Both are true Ed629. We (and I ) believe in helping the poor. But it isn't the be all, end all of my religious faith. At any rate, a desire to help the poor isn't enough to motivate me to be a Christian because ultimately Christianity is about obtaining individual salvation.

    Not sure what it says about me that you are obsessed with keeping track of my posts going back years.

    I'll leave that for others to contemplate. ................
