All the FBI agents who worked on the criminal investigation of Hillary were forced to sign non-disclosure agreements. That's apparently never been done before. The corruption is unbelievable.

Anybody who felt shocked or betrayed by Bernie's endorsement of Hillary doesn't understand how American elections work. Probably the first time paying attention for a lot of people.

Nonsense. The best way to change the system is to support someone who's been a part of it for 35 years! :techman:

I feel if you strongly believe in your convictions, then you shouldn't endorse a candidate even if they are in your party. I thought Bernie was an independent though, I guess not in reality.

It's easy for those who have known nothing but Clinton-hate to view Bernie's campaign through that same lens, but it was never about that. His points would have been just as valid if he were running against Biden or Obama or any other centrist Democrat.

Not really in the case of Obama circa 2008. He was a fresh face who had been in the U.S Senate for just four years. That was part of his appeal when compared to Hillary ,Biden and the rest in that cycle. In fact many of the points bernie made against Hillary were recycled from Obama's playbook eg: her being tied to big banks, her fondness for bad trade deals etc.

Meh. Way I see it Bernie is sort of in a spot where his instincts strongly say "I'll stand alone for my convictions!" the he looks out the window and see a world where Trump is elected president and he tells his instincts "Let's not be fucking insane here"

He's a sell out just like the rest of them. He's had some serious complaints about her and now he just drops it and endorses her? Fuck that, grow a pair Bernie.

I know, I know. You guys wanted to see a riot on the convention floor that would destroy the Democratic party (after the riot – and bloodshed, since there will be guns present – that deposed if not assassinated Trump at the GOP convention) so that Gary Johnson would rise from the rubble and rename America the Galt Republic and you’d all get to be minor satraps.

Real Life continues to thwart the Randian ideal…

No. He has said all along that his agreement with Hillary a re greater than the differences; especially compared to any likely GOP nominee as well as the very unlikely Trump (but not necessarily some other unlikely runners in the original clown car). He would have preferred to be the candidate himself; he prefers Hillary over many others. He is sticking exactly to what he has always said. If anything, holding out for this long despite having no mathematical chance left to win was a deviation from his otherwise clear stance.

Trump is the nominee for the Republican Party, I'd hardly say he's unlikely.

No, but he was considered unlikely back when Sanders already said this. That's my point: Sanders' position hasn't changed for the year or so that this election has taken so far.

Sanders and Clinton agree on something like 90% of the issues, with most of their differences being a matter of degrees on the same basic position.

For example, Sanders takes his coffee black, while Clinton takes her coffee with the 1%.

It's cute watching someone follow and participate in their first election cycle.

The problem is that were they seem to agree on an issue, they actually don't. Bernie is adamant that the big investment banks need to be broken up. Hillary is adamant that if she claims she'll be harder on the big investment banks, they'll give her tens of millions of dollars to her so she'll leave them alone, while providing political cover for whatever deals they want to do.

She was feeding insider information to Goldman Sachs while Goldman Sachs was paying her tons of money for secret speeches.

In general Hillary Clinton is just fine with big money in politics as long as its headed her way.

Tim Tebow commits the sin of Onan, and pulls out of the GOP convention.
    As does Ivanka Trump's rabbi.
