1.) The Netherlands are being forced to close down prisons because of a lack of people to incarcerate.
2.) You make the claim that the Netherlands is losing population at a dramatic rate.
3.) I point out that the only reason the US is showing a population growth is due to immigration. Thus, logically, it must follow, that the only reason the US has the largest prison population in the world, if you are to be believed that the reason the Netherlands is closing prisons has to do with their falling population numbers, is due to immigration.
4.) If immigrants do not make up a significant portion of the US prison population, there must be some other reason why this is happening. Why do you think that this is?

I fully acknowledge that environmental factors are a key factor in human development. I don't believe in genetic determinism nor have I indicated I did. I fully believe people have a choice in their destinies. Genetics plays a role. Environment plays a role. Personal choice and free will plays a role.
