Of course not. It's only their countries that are inferior. Most every era has a country that is largely indispensable to the global security and order. The United States has been that since 1945. Before that the British Empire was for nearly 150 years. Before that various others have been indispensable. France, Spain. Technically go all the way back to the importance of the Roman Empire.

Well, first of all I believe my point was about denigrating those who give you charity. Are you arguing that because we weren't at the top of the league table in terms if financial charity (and remember I also offered you financial help when your father died) our offerings are worthless?

Let me tell you something about yourself Dayton. During the year, eighteen months or so I wasn't posting on here I kept in touch with your wife and revisited the board privately to contact you when you faced tragedy. When I had a moment of crisis during the tie I was away I had support from Amy, but you? Zero, zip, nothing. Never once during all that time did you try and contact me to see how I was doing, let alone when I needed support. So if you are going to downgrade the support that people here have given you, what does it say about you that you can't even offer a shred of interest or human compassion in return? In fact forget the compassion. Just the interest?

For all our heated exchanges on here, when people like myself, @garamet, @RickDeckard and so on support you in times of need that should tell you something about who we are. We are people whose core values and morals (that you would rubbish so easily), cause us to act like that. That you cheapen that is very, very sad...and where are your superior morals that lead you to have compassion for us? That compassion is non-existent. Sad.

I asked Amy how you were and asked her to convey my best wishes when she corresponded. If she did not, then again my apologies. But she is the one with the facebook account. I don't use it or tell her what to say there.

IIRC, El Chup you have said that you thought I was a "basically good" person. That's nice. But you also have repeatedly denounced me as a "shitty Christian" and mocked and derided my Christianity repeatedly. Needless to say, someone who believes strongly in such matters might take long lasting offense to that. Also, given my views on the subject are not significantly different from Elwood's yet he gets lauded by Garamet no less strictly on issues of style rather than content I find really grating as well.

Any basic scholarly reading of top Christian experts shows you don't have a clue about what it truly is to be a good, loving, charitable and fair Christian. You can take offence all you want, but you need to stop and ask yourself, what does it really mean when The Bible says don't judge others, when it says to not dismiss charity, when it says not to be selfish? You display a fundamental lack of understanding on these elements of your own religion. How can you honestly pretend that you have a right to judge me and others when the New Testament, which you purport to rely on, makes it indisputably clear that only God has that right?
