Meh. @Marso's got a 50-year supply of jerky in the bunker, right next to all that gold Glenn Beck talked him into buying.

    Valid point.

Except for the fact that one cop literally can't do that for 10,000 property crimes. Yet you asshats want to DEFUND the police. So better get used to even more of the same, bitch.

When my son was robbed in New Jersey (on one of several occasions over the course of four months or so) he was burglarized.
The first thing the dispatcher asked was if there were any injuries or violence involved. When he said "no" the response time and urgency was....molasses in January!

He could if he weren't out doing meaningless shit like writing parking tickets, and pulling people over for faulty tail lights.
He could certainly chip away at it.

    Also, fuck you, Marso.

Balls. I grew up there. Most of the time if you wanted ethic food, you went to the one German restaurant in the area. The mom & pop places in town were all either diners or Bob Evan's clones. It wasn't until the 80s that we started getting family owned ethnic joints. When people think Cincinnati (to use another Ohio city) and food, they think chili. Pick just about any city in Texas and you think BBQ and/or Tex-Mex. Lousiana's got Cajun food, NYC's got pizza. What's Columbus got? Buckeyes. Not the football team, these things:
Not really much of a food culture when you're talking about what are basically half-finished Reese's cups.

For fuck's sake, man! Guy Fieri's a local boy who made it big and he doesn't have a place in Columbus! That should tell you something.

To each their own....I have been to Columbus 3-4 times and found good eatin' at the North Market, Thurman Cafe, and a place that was a church but turned itself into a brewery. The place I found online was called the Refectory, but I don't think that was it unless it changed its name and seriously remodeled.

I wasn't a big fan of Skyline Chili the time or two I had it when I was in Cincy. It was alright, but I don't think I would go to it if it were local. Whereas I would go to the Columbus joints I mentioned on the regular if they were local, and they make going to Columbus more attractive. YMMV.

None of that is a food culture. Those are establishments that have popped up in recent years in response to Wexner buying up most of the place. They might last a generation if they're lucky. It's not like walking into a BBQ joint in Texas, where you know that the food is going to be good, because the people there take that shit seriously and have been doing it for generations. Basically, you're hitting a trendier version of Applebee's.

I didn't say Skyline Chili was good, just that's what the city's known for. Last time I was in Cincy, I didn't even bother to eat at Skyline because I found a Vietnamese place to eat at, and since it's hard for me to find Vietnamese food where I live, I went for that. If I want Skyline, I can go to the grocery store and buy it in the frozen foods section.

are these motherfuckers really this stupid? Grant was the HMIC who helped the Union WIN THE CIVIL WAR thus ending slavery. Yep - he owned a slave at one time. Wrong as slavery is (and was) countless white people owned them - nobody is denying that. But he pushed for voting rights for blacks, and fought for protections of freed blacks. He was instrumental in "reconstruction" to heal the wounds of the war and get the south back up to speed to be an asset to our nation.

He also launched an illegal war against Native Americans. Like Jefferson and Washington, his legacy isn't perfect. However, if cities had moved on removing monuments related to the Confederacy and the Conquistadors sooner, this might not have happened.

awesome rationalizing! Professional level I dare say! But yes, it should have happened much sooner.
Nancy Pelosi took 30 YEARS to notice eleven confederate depictions (paintings or statues) that were offensive and needed to go.
Took her a while to get "woke" didn't it? Or maybe she doesn't give a flying fuck about anything except appeasing the mob to keep herself employed for a few more years. Just sayin'

Okay, I looked through your links, and not one of them said Pelosi had never noticed the statues before. Not a single one. That's a pretty dismal record for "sourcing your information". One of them even referred to the fact that there have been efforts for years to have them removed.

I guess I'm not the one who needs reading glasses, even though I'm quite a bit older than you are...

    first article:

Congress has debated for years whether to begin removing Confederate symbols in the Capitol. In 2016, lawmakers removed a display of state flags from a hallway because the Mississippi flag includes a confederate symbol.

second article is the same article, reprinted and condensed just enough not to be plagiarism.

third: is almost impossible to read from pop ups

fourth: should I waste my time? nothing so far suggests that Async missed anything. Not that OF actually gives a clue of what he thinks is unique about Pelosi not campaigning on the issue in the past.

YOU said she never noticed them before, you senile old cuntflap.

Async is saying your articles don't back you up, unlike carbs.

Point is, Pelosi and others have likely wanted to get rid of these for a while, but have not held the majority to do so or the political will (given it has only recently become apparent that the public back this).

thank you for that last sentence! They didn't have the political will until the mob called for it. Good to know Pelosi and others have no morals or motivation of their own.

IOW, you're simply making up the fact that she never noticed them. Got it. Donald Trump calls that "fake news".

So let's move on to the next point: where are you getting your information that "she never cared enough to really make an issue of it"? I haven't seen anything about what role she might have played in the various calls over the years to have them removed, and certainly nothing that says she was never a part of it. So what source do you have for stating she did not? Or are you just making that up, too, because it suits you?
