The timeline has been revealed. It's 5 years before Rogue One/A New Hope. https://www.comicbookmovie.com/tv/s...f-the-disney-series-has-been-revealed-a174847 Now that actual news is coming out about this, it finally gets its own thread.
Sounds boring. Was he a breakout character or something? I don’t see anyone asking for more of Cassian Andor. And we already have one Star Wars live action show, do we really need more than that? The Obi Wan show might be more interesting though even that seems unnecessary.
As I think I've pointed out before, even if you don't like the character, the time period is what's interesting. You can have him be the Forrest Gump of Star Wars, and meet everyone you want.
Not really Not really They're planning at least one more, female centric, show, but I think there might be more than that. Agree.
What's interesting about it? The Rebel Alliance barely exists and we already have Rebels to fill that gap.
Off the top of my head... Vader. Tarkin. Boba-Fett. Jabba. And the one you saw as a minus... The Rebel Alliance barely exists. Lets see some more Mon Mothma and Bail Organa. Yeah, Rebels had all these things too, but can you really have too much?
Yes, it makes the galaxy too small, it's derivative, it relies too much on the past, it relies on fan service and it's unimaginative.
The only upside (if you wanna call it that) to an Andor series is that it can show the darker side of the pre-Rebellion in ways Rebels couldn't. The morally dubious stuff, not good guys shooting black hats (sorry, white helmets). The stuff they whitewashed about the Mujahadeen in Rambo III, y'know.
"Also getting Canto Bight vibes from this set." WTF was that guy smoking? It looks nothing like Canto Bight.
If the show oozed out of the TV as a liquid, morphed into a woman, and fucked you, you'd still complain.
I highly, highly enjoyed Rogue One but even then I'm still kind of meh on this series Hoping it can offer up some good and interesting stuff though
We are indeed going to get legacy character cameos galore in Andor. https://www.darkhorizons.com/andor-has-star-wars-canon-surprises/
I liked Cassian in Rogue One, especially the morally conflicted nature of his character. But he had a complete arc in that film and that would seem a problem for the prequel. We're going to have to see a younger, even more strident version of the character. He can't be what he turned into at the end of Rogue One.
na... the only reason alternatives like female-centric are ever mentioned is to avoid triggering pa certain percentage of the more basic among the fan base.
Mr. Sunday/ The Weekly Planet was was joking about how many SW shows are post Jedi by five years. I get it, it’s their bread and butter, show us something not related to the Skywalker saga.
