Of all countries on Earth, the US military budget is more than the next 26, 25 of whom are our allies.

Why is this? After WWII, the US just kind of stepped in as the world's police. Why not? We were becoming the largest economy and could afford it - and, back then, we had integrity and people with integrity holding office.

Then came Nixon and Reagan.

So, corporations outsource jobs, cut personnel here in the states, level out employee wages, then throw out propaganda about how minorities are wasting your tax money.

That hasn't been true for a while. It's equal to the top 10 - if you assume countries like Russian and China, both clearly NOT our allies, are telling the truth, and most analysts believe that is not the case.

So we are equal to the top 10 other nations, but 2 of those are not only not allies, but actively opposed - the PRC at 2 and Russia at 4. Brazil is not particularly friendly with the US either.

But yeah, we do spend too much on the military considering the state of our infrastructure and debt.

This looks an awful lot like historical revisionism, when you look at the history of what the US was doing in Vietnam under the Eisenhower, Kennedy and Johnson administrations (to name just one blatant example out of a fairly large number of others where pre-Nixon American policy can hardly be mentioned in the same context as "integrity").

The Navy had been moving ahead with plans for transitioning months before Trump took office. I remember talking to some active duty friends on at the end of 2016 who'd just completed training on uniform regs for transitioning sailors the week before.

One of the problems with lip service for the trans and gay community is it draws people out of the closet when they might need to be in it. What is going to happen is people might think something has been done, they come out without protecting themselves, and then the red threat is waiting for them and joe is nowhere to be found. All this leads to is beatings because joe does not have your back.
