DC's re-arranged their movie schedule. Aquaman and Flash are pushed way back, but Shazam is earlier. Covid is still fucking up Hollywood. July 29th 2022: “DC’s League of Super-pets” October 21st 2022: “Black Adam” December 12th 2022: “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” March 17th 2023: “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” June 23rd 2023: “The Flash” https://www.darkhorizons.com/warners-rearranges-its-2022-23-dc-films/
It feels like they've been working on that Flash movie for 5 years DC, such an organizational disaster compared to Marvel
Yeah, but I'm glad the development Hell led to "uh....fuck it, Michael Keaton Batman". I bet that's going to be the Honest Trailer title.
Word is, Patty Jenkins got sick of being micro-managed by Lucasfilm, and "Rogue Squadron" is bumped to late 2023 while she's gone off to shoot Wonder Woman 3 this year, and it'll release in 2023. Cue "WW84 killed my family!! I want reveeeenge!!! ".
Sounds like all things Ezra Miller have been put up for discussion/on hold at Warner Bros: https://gizmodo.com/report-ezra-miller-s-projects-at-warner-bros-put-on-p-1848757795 Looks like there's some serious issues there
Sounds like a massive douchebag, and he was terrible anyway. Give Grant Gustin a shot at the big screen.
They have to release the Flash movie first, but I have no problem with a recast. His role in Fantastic Beasts is a forgettable character in a series of forgettable films.
The incident with the girl was almost 2 years ago. Nice to see the gears of justice twirling so speedily.
Miller is toast, or at least he should be. As they say: once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action. WB needs to cut the ties before Miller does something even worse.
Yes, some kinda out-of-control-ness. The red lights are flashing and the alarms ringing when someone in the midst of an episode like this asks "Do you know who I am?" Megalomania on the loose.
Archie from "Riverdale" is gonna be Zan of the Wonder Twins in "Wonder Twins". Some girl from some show I don't watch will be Jayna. This is a movie, but it'll go straight to HBOMax. So...should it go to the TV thread? The streaming-verse makes this shit complicated. https://www.darkhorizons.com/kj-apa-isabel-may-are-dcs-wonder-twins/
Honestly, the best thing Warner Bros. could at this moment is completely blow up the entire DCU and start from scratch. Hire people who actually like comic books and have some talent. Also, stop it with the fucking Batman reboots. And stop trying so damn hard to be "edgy".
You might just get your wish, DC is planning a big shake up. https://variety.com/2022/film/news/dc-warner-bros-discovery-zaslav-hbo-max-1235232185/
Unless they're gonna pull a Star Trek '09 with the timeline, the DCEU ain't going anywhere, because that's where Gal Gadot Wonder Woman, Dwayne Johnson Black Adam, and Margot Robbie Harley all live.
Apparently the Flash is being screen tested and they want reshoots so they’re probably going to “fix” the timeline in a way that retains WW, Aquaman, Shazam and Harley, but recast Flash and replace Cavil’s Superman with Supergirl. They’ll probably erase Aflexk’s Batman all together.
Considering that billion-dollar box office has been found the DCEU in Joker against a relatively small budget, I wouldn't be surprised if the suits in fact chase those box office numbers and scrap the idea of mimicking the MCU and just cherry-pick the best parts of it for individualized films.
