Alternatively, you’d pull your hair out too if you had to deal with a damn mummy curse for twenty years.
I finally sat down and watched Shazam!. It's a lot of fun, and officially another movie in the DCU's win column to go with Wonder Woman and The Lego Batman Movie.
Ava DuVernay says the money that went into Snyder Cut caused New Gods to be scrapped. And the article kind of suggests it probably killed The Trench too. https://www.darkhorizons.com/snyders-league-led-to-new-gods-scrap/ Honestly? I think we made out better with Snyder Cut.
Michael Shannon (Zod) and Antje Traue (Faora) are going to be in "The Flash". Time travel? Parallel universe? Both? Whatever, Faora was my favorite part of "Man Of Steel" so having her back is sweet. Also, Michael Keaton is going to be in "Batgirl". Looks like they want to make him the Nick Fury. Source. https://www.darkhorizons.com/shannon-joins-flash-as-keaton-joins-batgirl/
What the shit?!? My enthusiasm for this movie just moved up a notch or two. I'm guessing there's a parallel universe where the Phantom Zone villains won. Probably means Superman dead, thus Supergirl's stepping up. He's already the Nick Fury of Spider-Man villains, but if he wants to be the Nick Fury of the Bat-Family, I'm down.
Given DC's track record, I predict it will suck epic balls. As the saying goes, expect disappointment and you won't be disappointed!
Not just a good stylistic choice (would you rather he wear Jim Carrey's onesie?) but a further indicator that this film is infused with David Fincher-esness. And I am there for it.
So he's a serial killer? Meh. I always liked the interpretation of Riddler from the Justice miniseries. The Riddler's appearance in Alex Ross' 12 issue series Justice suggests a new motivation, that, as a child, he had been beaten by his father whenever he told a lie, to the extent that he was now psychologically incapable of telling a lie. His riddles are his method of subverting his condition so that he is still technically telling the truth, but always in as cryptic a manner as possible.
I almost said "anatomical costumes went out with..." but anatomical costumes were never in, they were foisted on us. Notice that right after "Batman & Robin" we got "Blade" and "X-Men" and no rubber nipples and butt-cheeks. Hmm...in fact, this Batgirl costume fits right in with the leather aesthetic of "X-Men".
Little memory jog, Bono/U2 did the end credits song or that flick. Bono was also tasked with writing the songs for "Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark". Imagine that pitch meeting. "You know what superhero movie everyone loves? 'Batman & Robin!' lets get the guy who did the song for that!". "How much coke are you on?". "So much. SOOOO much coke. Soooo muuuuuch".
You really think that someone asked about the coke? I'm thinking that the coke was already cut into lines and on the table before the pitch meeting even started.
