The number of Duma members asking for Putin's resignation is up from 7 to 18 in 2 days. A trend?

There's also reports of Russian army units staging in Moscow.

Russian State TV commentators begin the blame game, suggesting Putin got bad advice ahead of the invasion. They're still pushing the lie about Nazis and avoiding the word "invasion" but the cracks are showing - one guy used the C-word (colonialism) and had to be slapped down.

Tucker Carlson had his favorite military analyst, Douglas Macgregor, last Friday night.

Macgregor stated that the war might soon be over as Ukraine was failing and they were about to be wiped out south of Kharkiv.

Macgregor made his name as the commander of the US armor group that won the famous battle of 73 Easting.

    He's now overtly a pro-Putin Russian apologist.

    This is worth watching:

Moscow confirms Russian teachers in Ukr's Kharkiv Region have been arrested by advancing Ukr forces. The teachers had been reportedly sent by Moscow to teach a Rus curriculum in schools in occupied Ukr territory. When Rus forces retreated, it seems the teachers were left behind.

    https://twitter.com/bbcwillvernon/status/1569586731573301252?s=46&t=gOXK7goGWztZrC8C5ds-JA

My understanding is that these folks could technically be charged with genocide (helping stamp out Ukrainian language/culture in occupied areas) but hopefully things don’t get there.

The number of regional councilmembers who are calling for Putin's resignation have gone from 18 to 50 - sorry, it turns out they are Duma members, but not the Federal Duma. So these are local members. Still, actively calling for Putin's resignation is something, and it's centered around St Petersburg, with some even in Moscow.

If they were actually nice to the trannies, drag queens, and women you would not have this problem because they would out them and kick their asses for you. If I saw some trump shitbag trying to avoid fighting by blending in to the left wing by dressing in women's clothing there would be no mercy.

Reports coming in that Georgia is planning on having a referendum to see if the people back opening a second front with Russia.

The word is they intend to retake South Ossetia and Abkhazia which Russia 'liberated' in 2008.

I've found it in the Moscow Times and the Odessa Journal, haven't seen it in any Western news agency yet. Still, intriguing if true.

Further to that, the pundits are getting even more uppity - with The Daily Beast seeing one comment as the "Are we the baddies?" moment:

I watched Lex Friedman's podcast the other day and his guest, Andrew Bustamante, a former CIA operative, says the outcome looks bleak for Ukraine.

He predicts that Russia will end up controlling natural resources in the east and access to food and money in the south and Zelensky will end up being replaced. It will essentially end in a cease fire with Russia having stricter control over Ukraine. They will be allowed to call themselves a "sovereign" nation while still being under Russia's influence. It will be an example to other former Soviet satellite states. They will be limited in how they can engage in the West and with NATO. He also goes on to say that the US' support is purely ideological. We have no real economic interests in Ukraine.

I highly recommend watching the entire podcast, but if you don't want to do that, here are the relevant bits. The things I mention starts around the 22:44 mark.

Former CIA operative means 'doesn't have access to current intelligence.' And he's categorically wrong about the assessment that Ukraine is not getting any material support from the West. They are getting huge stores of weapons, which have made their current offenses possible.

It's possible he's correct, but he's basing it entirely on political will, as opposed to capability. Russia having to import weapons from North Korea and Iran, which oh by the way have high failure rates, is not a ringing endorsement of Putin's regime. They fired yet another General in charge of the Ukraine 'special operation' two days ago. This one lasted a grand total of 16 days.

In the meanwhile there's a war of assassination raging in Russia. The last one who mysteriously died due to suffocation - almost certain a toxin of some kind - was a media magnet and hard line Putin ally.

A partial list of Russian oligarchs and media heads that have died in the last year:

Leonid Shulman - Gazprom Invest head of transport - "suicide", January 30th
Alexander Tyulakov - Gazprom top executive - "suicide", February 25th
    Mikhail Watford - oil/gas oligarch - "suicide", February 28th
Vasily Melnikov - MedStom (medical supplies) owner - "murder-suicide", March
Vladislav Avayev - former Gazprombank VP, Kremlin official - "murder-suicide", April 18th
Sergey Protosenya - Novatek (gas) deputy chairman - "murder-suicide" (hanging), April 19th
Alexander Subbotin - Lukoil former manager - "found in the basement of a shaman’s house", "had been seeking a hangover cure and was poisoned", early May
Ravil Maganov - Lukoil chairman - "suicide", August 31st
Ivan Pechorin - Far East and Arctic Development managing director - "fell off a boat", September 10th
Vladimir Nikolayevich Sungorkin - managing director of Komsomolskaya Pravda - "suffocated" on Busines Trip, Sept 14th
